There's a common misconception that if you're broke, you should save your money… This is one of the worst pieces of advice if you're trying to grow your business.

I was literally eating rotten food out of a container, and not because I wanted to… all I had was $150 in my bank account.

My buddy had told me about a live event going down in Boston. I spent $997 on a ticket. From there, I set new goals for my entire life. I committed to stepping on stage for my first physique competition. I decided to start my online trainer business.

F*ck… I wouldn't have even started this podcast if it weren't for that $997 ticket.

If you're holding onto money while you're "broke", then it's time to get clear on what you want in life. Do you want to keep playing small for the rest of your f*cking life? Or do you want to play with the heavy hitters?
