96. God Transformed War Trauma into the Call of Destiny with Brooks Steinbaecher

Listen Later

Brooks was found as a baby in a drain tile, grew up in foster home and a broken home. He joined the army in 2011 right before 9/11. He got the call to go to Iraq and loved it – he could be with his brothers and sisters and protect. He also got married to the love of his life and eventually had a son. After tragedy in the war and losing close friends, trauma started to set in. He found himself very angry, isolating from others and eventually suicidal. He was diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and many other physical issues. In the midst of his darkest place, he was approached by a stranger who said she heard from the Holy Spirit about his PTSD and asked to pray for him. She led him to an event with Dr. Mike Hutchings who leads him to Christ and prays for Jesus to heal him. What transpired after this was a complete transformation and Brooks to begin walking in the destiny that God called him to. He has undeniable supernatural stories that are captivating and will have you in tears. He reunites with his foster family after having 6 years of his life without memories. He now has a ministry called “Adventures After Freedom” in the state of Pennsylvania, where he is helping others just like him who have served and experienced similar mental health struggles. Brooks was born as an orphan searching for worth and he found it through God speaking into his identity. His testimony is so captivating and compelling, that you will feel the heart of God right through His voice.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." ~John 8:12NIV
