Today’s conversation is with Dominic McGregor, 28-year-old entrepreneur and mental health and sobriety advocate. Dom is currently a Founding Partner of investment fund, Fearless Adventures and ex-COO of global marketing agency, Social Chain.
Expect to hear how along with his co-founder and fellow university drop out, Steven Bartlett, Dom helped grow Social Chain to a $200m turnover business with 750 staff in offices around the world, including NYC, Berlin and London.
After building a global client portfolio that includes the likes of Apple, Amazon, McDonald’s, they took the company public in 2019 and ultimately exited in late 2020.
This experience is something that enables Dom to share with us why you shouldn’t want to be young and successful.
After recently celebrating 5 years of sobriety, we learn from Dom on what drove his choice and how you can also assess your relationship with alcohol in the most honest possible way.
In early 2021, Dominic was appointed by the Cabinet Office as a government policy advisor looking at social media and digital communications. I ask what his predictions are for the future of the UK economy and the next generation of our workforce.
This episode is a look behind the scenes and into the mind of someone who has experienced incredible levels of success at a young age. There’s a lot to learn and take away from this one.
