In this inspiring episode of The Traveling Therapist podcast, Christina shares her unique journey from being a humanitarian worker to becoming a therapist specializing in chronic illness, a path shaped by her own health challenges. She recounts how remote work trips not only offered her the flexibility to manage her health better but also sparked her transformation into a full-time traveling therapist. Christina's recent experience in India undergoing an intensive Panchakarma detox program stands out as a highlight of the episode. This transformative two-month journey involved a blend of ancient Ayurvedic treatments, spiritual practices, and continued remote therapy work, which led to significant personal restoration and wellness.
Christina's story is not just about professional evolution; it's also a testament to the power of integrating holistic health practices and travel into one's lifestyle. Despite the challenges, she found a way to balance her work commitments with her health needs, even while navigating the intense Panchakarma program. As she looks forward to future plans, including moving to Greece and continuing her work in therapy and gluten-free travel writing, Christina's story is an inspiring example for therapists and individuals looking to balance their professional ambitions with personal health and wellness goals.
