David Fincher's 'Mank' just received a leading 10 Oscar nominations for the 2021 Academy Awards, so there was no way the boys weren't going to discuss the new film from one of the patron saints of the podcast. They look at Fincher's earlier filmography with a deep dive into his 2007 masterpiece, Zodiac (18:43), before discussing Orson Welles' 1941 classic, 'Citizen Kane' and its continued impact on modern cinema (34:51), then rounding off the discussion by going all-in on Fincher's 10 times Oscar-nominated film, 'Mank', about the other co-writer of 'Citizen Kane'- the notorious Herman J. Mankiewicz (46:22).
