This podcast was recorded a day later than usual because Scott and I needed to recover from the weekend. Jon needed a full week of recovery so he’s not even here. He did edit the podcast though so that’s pretty sweet. We talk almost exclusively about things that start with the second letter of the alphabet.

Montreal’s favorite English language podcast (if you ask my dad) is back for our first episode of 2019! Always eager to put the spotlight on the up and coming members of Montreal’s ever evolving arts world, we welcome a new comedian on the scene: Michelle Dominique! Michelle co-produces a brand new monthly show in my old ‘hood NDG over at Honey Martin the last Sunday of each month. Check out the next edition of The Comedy Confessional on Sunday, January 27th! Enjoy the show!
As always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Leighland Beckman and Aural Turpitude!
Keith does all sorts of things here on 9to5.cc, he works with the other founders on 9to5 (illustrated), co-hosts our two podcasts: The 9to5 Entertainment System and Go Plug Yourself and blogs here as The Perspicacious Geek.

So, full disclosure, we recorded this episode after recording our annual Sh!t Show over on Go Plug Yourself so Walter and I may have a had a few. This one gets a little wild. Also, the bar started getting a little rowdy as the show was recorded over the holidays, so deal with it. It’s a celebration!
We’re also joined this episode by Vance Michel, The Green Phantom and The Arsenal because we thought this should really be a 6 person podcast. We talk all about TLC, if WWE can fix RAW, the future of The Elite, PCO’s amazing 2018 and some of the best and worst moments of the entire year in the squared circle.
Enjoy the show, see you in January!

The greatest New Year’s podcasting tradition in Montreal continues with the latest installment of the Go Plug Yourself New Year’s Shit Show! This year we welcome comedians Inés Anaya, Daniel Carin and Vance Michel and professional wrestlers The Arsenal and The Green Phantom to have a few beers and reminisce about the year that was 2018. As always this one gets a little sloppy so sit back, press play, and enjoy the sounds of a rowdy group of people at the back of a bar talking nonsense. See you in 2019 everybody!
Be sure to check out all of these talents in the coming new year and as always subscribe and tell your friends about the show.

Mike Carrozza is back in Montreal for the holidays and local comedy just got a little better for it. Mike left our fair city a little while ago for the green pastures of Toronto but he’s back to spend the most wonderful time of the year with Walter (and Mike’s family). Somehow, despite this being the first episode in a long time without an expressly “musical” guest (though Mike has dabbled quite a bit in music himself, I think of him as more of a comedy type of guy), there are a lot of musical interludes in here.
And by musical interludes I mean Mike and Walter seeing made up lyrics to recognizable hip hop songs. Catch Mike all weekend long at the Comedy Nest December 20, 21, 22 and 23 as part of LOL 2018 and be sure to head to The Royal Canadian Legion in NDG (5455 de Maisonneuve) for the RAD DADS Xmas Concert this Friday December 14th at 7:30 pm! It’s for charity!
Enjoy the show!

The Great Sabatini may or may refer to a sex act, but that doesn’t matter. One of Montreal’s heaviest bands for the last 11 years, the boys of The Great Sabatini have just released their latest full length album “Goodbye Audio” and it’s full of the unpredictable and technical heaviness that they’ve become so well known for.
Once we get going, boy do we get going. You owe it to yourself to listen to the end to hear one of the craziest stories we’ve ever heard from a fateful night in Thunder Bay. Not for the feint of heart. Maybe don’t listen to it around kids.
“Goodbye Audio” is available now. Available digitally all over the place or on their Bandcamp (and check out the merch section to by a physical copy of it).
Enjoy the show!

The Pat on the Mat crew has been busy, really busy. Walter has been running his open mic and hustling like a rockstar. I’ve been bogged down at the 9to5 job. Pat, meanwhile, has been in France doing more research for his Andre the Giant book and going to WWE Evolution.
Walter wasn’t able to be at Grumpy’s for the recording of this one so Pat and I run a two man announce team. We talk about the amazing show that was Evolution and the less amazing shows that were Super Showdown and Crown Jewel and then we talk about NXT: Wargames 2 and Survivor Series. We cover a lot of ground so it runs a little long, we should be back in December! Enjoy the show!
