So Jon and I both watched Rewind This and then I stuck around da Seve for The Dirties (which we give yet another glowing shout out to) and Jon huffed over to The Imperial to watch Bobcat Goldthwait's found footage sasquatch horror film Willow Creek. We 're about to get Fantasia'd up in this bee-yotch.

We're hitting our stride here at 9to5 (dot cc) as keep going to see movies at what has so far been an incredible edition of the Fantasia Festival. Today, Jon and I talk about the social networking horror thriller Antisocial and Danny Trejo kicking some serious zombie ass in Zombie Hunter.

What’s on the show tonight? Is it a film about an obsessives terrifying (and also Mormon) man who falls for a recently separated woman and a movie about a brilliant but trouble scientist who happens to create a sophisticated AI[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry...

Jon and Keith again tackle two wildy different films with Go Down Death and OXV: The Manual. Go Down Death is a black and white tribute film to the strange absurd film making of yesteryear and OXV is a mathematical, philosophical romance story about measurable luck. These sure do sound like Fantasia Festival films don't they? They sure do!

For the third episode of our ongoing Fantasia series Jon and Keith saw two wildly different films. Described (by Jon and Keith) as a "kilometer long and high obsidian wall" and "a buddy comedy with zombies that gets dark" respectively, Thanatomorphose and The Battery are both prime examples of what makes a festival like Fantasia great. Another amazing comedian from The Nasty Show stopped by to talk about podcasting, gesturing with two fingers and yes, even being a midget his whole life. Don't criticize me for calling Brad Williams a midget, that's what he likes being called. Littler person sounds like less than a full person and a dwarf is a mythical creature. His words.

We had the extremely funny and talented Dave Merheje on last year during our JFL specials and he was kind enough (aka bored enough) to drop by again this year and talk about his show "Dave Merheje's Family Affairs" as an added bonus he was accompanied by the lovely and also extremely funny Aisha Alfa.

Have you heard of a little show they do every year at Just for Laughs called "The Nasty Show"? If you haven't, I honestly don't know why you're even reading this blurb and about to listen to a Just for Laughs podcast. The Nasty Show is a goddamned institution and most of the time it is hosted by this man, Bobby Slayton

Kyle Dooley and Mark Little of Roller Town, Picnicface and that Telus commercial fame join Walter and I to talk about their OFF JFL show. Just kidding, we talk about everything else but.

So The Dirties is a little film that is shot in the way a bunch of kids filming their own movie. The twist is that it becomes about planning a school shooting, the other twist is that it's a comedy. The other twist (ok, this isn't a twist in the film) is that it was picked up as part of Kevin Smith's Film Club and is getting a much larger release as a result. Did we like it? Spoilers, we did.
