9to5.cc Podcasts: Including Go Plug Yourself (GPYS) & 9to5 Entertainment System (9ES)

We're four days into the festival and we're back! We hit the ground running watching indie psychological thriller The Dead Experiment and the follow up to one of the more talked about films of last year's Fantasia V/H/S 2! How did the fare? Listen now to Fantasia veterans Keith and Jon talk about these two films.

And saying “No! Bad perverts! BAD!”. As a public service the news team at new channel 9ES has really gone and done their homework on this one. We talk about our privacy, government and stabbings and of course Superman. But[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry...

We cut out the middlemen (those run of the mill comedians) and head straight to the source for the JFL scoop (what a scoop!). Talar and Danny are a huge part of the behind the scenes publicity that goes on[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry...

Yeah, nobody ever says that in the episode, and yeah that's the old episode image down there but guess what? I'm in a rush and nobody reads this stuff anyways. You're all too busy with your podcatching software and twitter feeds to give a shit about what I'm writing here and now. You know what? Fine. It's settled. Just listen to the damn episode.

When I was writing BATTLEWAR I wasn’t sure what letters should be in capitals. Then I realized: ALL OF THEM. Whatcha gonna do when Twiggy and Giant Tiger from BATTLEWAR show up on your podcast and run wild over you!?[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry...

Man, the second "L" in "Malcolm" is pretty tricky. It looks wrong with it and it looks wrong without out, what's a boy to do? Here it is, a day late but a dollar off (a dollar off free is still free). New 9ES! We talk an awful lot about movies in this episode so enjoy that.

What's this!? Sophie from 9ES joins our Senior CEO of Fringe Operations Sarah for two shows about puppets! If it sounds like they're a little out of it that's because it's 1:00 in the morning and we literally dragged Sarah out of bed to record this episode because we hate her! Ha ha! Take that! Here's the shows they checked out in this episode:

Mr. P

We Walk Among You

Sarah sits down to talk about her weekend's worth of shows that she checked out. This episode really should've been up earlier but for some reason we had corrupted audio files and needed to record this episode a second time! Recording episodes twice is getting to be our trademark! You'd think that after nearly 100 podcasts we'd have stuff like this ironed out, right? Wrong suckers!

Anyhow, Sarah checks out the following shows and provides her thoughts:

Horrible Things

Verbal Diarrhoea or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Bomb at Love

Fire in the Meth Lab

Kyle now holds the record for all time show appearances I think. He has yet another GPYS feather in his cape, he is now a member of the "Lost Episode" club (there are only two members). You see, we foolishly thought that since this was Kyle's 3rd appearance on the show he understood our setup. He did not. He muted himself the entire time and this podcast is actually the second "take" on what is usually an off-the-cuff podcast. We talk about cardboard cutouts, Sarah's impersonation of Walter and velociraptors. Also we talk about his show but not that much.

Leighland "I Sing the Go Plug Yourself Theme Song" Beckman and DeAnne "I Only Appear On Special Go Plug Yourself Episodes" Smith join Sarah and I to talk about their Fringe offering "Horrible Things". They share the horrible story about how they brought an audience member to the verge of tears on their opening night and how they both felt proud about that accomplishment. Among other things. This show is not for the easily offended. Trust us.
