"Y'all better come up here and get you one of these... A chicken salad." We all know that Nisha went viral for her Tik Tok and everyone wanted a piece of it - even Google. And they decided to pay her $500, which is wild. It made me think about Ma Rainey and how the music industry only wanted her voice... not her as a human. Both of these stories are connected and made me even think about my own worth as a Black content creator.
