The power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. We have authority in Jesus name. Because we do Satan has to trick us into uselessness. He has to scheme us into defeat. Do not be afraid. The complete authority is Christ who lives in us.
The way that the world will know the compassion of Christ is by seeing and experiencing the outstretched arms of His followers. It’s about using what I have at hand — money, talent, encouragement, or even just a shoulder to cry on — to meet another person’s need. The more we understand and comprehend the amazing goodness of God’s grace towards us — the more compassionate and grace-filled towards others we become — and that is just what the world is looking for.
A producing faith comes from open lives. Yet, we often have to look at things as upside down. Where the world thinks “closed,” Christ-followers think “open.”
Do your knees show signs of life? If your knees are not worn out, you haven’t surrendered. We should live our lives with our spirit on it’s knees.
As Christ followers, we should exhibit certain signs of life that evidence our commitment to Christ and His Kingdom. Are you willing to get your shoes dusty on the streets of the world in order to make the love of Jesus available to those who do not know Him? If we are going to be like our Savior, the answer can only be “Yes!”
We don’t make peace with God. God makes peace with us. You can’t save yourself. This is the heart of Christianity: God, substituting the Son of God, to bear the judgment of God on sinners like us. Peace with God by faith. You can’t earn it. God in Christ at Christmas became man to do it for you.
We are God’s children. He is with us and will be with us not to the end, but past the end. Those who have confessed Jesus as their Savior and Lord have become His. He is not just our Father for now, but forever. Praise His wonderful name. Behold Him as your Everlasting Father.
Quite a few names were listed on Jesus's birth announcement. Join us as we dive into the second name -- Mighty God. See you soon!
This Christmas, we want to take time to BEHOLD Jesus for who He really is -- our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. What does it mean that Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor? It means through Christ, we serve a God who is able to relate to our weaknesses and guide us out.
