A Kind and Gentle Word

He is Risen! This episode is dedicated to the depiction of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in all four gospels in the Bible. It's Easter Sunday but it's not about easter egg hunts, a big meal, or cute outfits. Today, is all about the one who died and rose again three days later to save our sins!

Today let's dive into each of the four gospels depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Each of the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are very similar but depict slightly different details of the same event that they all witnessed.

What John 3:16 really means and why this verse is the most famous scripture in the Bible. Let's study the Bible together and dive into the most important verse in the entire gospel of Jesus Christ. Salvation is laid out all too simple in John 3:16 which is why I think a lot of people struggle with the good news of God sacrificing his one and only son so that we can have eternal life.

This early morning before work, I felt compelled share what God has been trying teach me. Matthew 6, "Do No Be Anxious" is a section of verses from the sermon on the mount that I continually have to return to pretty much everyday. This is Jesus speaking to a crowd for the first time and trying to explain that God is in Control. We don't need to be anxious and instead, seek first His Kingdom, and His Righteousness. That's so hard!

In 2003 my dad was diagnosed with throat cancer. It was one of the hardest years of our families lives and yet... it was a blessing. God didn't immediately heal my dad of cancer instead, he went through chemo and radiation and even a feeding tube. He came out the other side a different man, he was now more sold out for Jesus than ever before.
Now, over twenty years later he still lives his life to Go and Tell the world about the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth, glorifying the gift of cancer all along the way.

I'm a Christian and I struggle with mental health. I'm autistic and I have ADHD.
Mental Health is one of those topics christians avoid. Pastors won't call out a narcissist or admit he has anxiety or depression himself. But, Christians love to say we can pray away the depression or schizophrenia. Pray away. "You faith has healed you." Jesus said that, but He didn't say it to everyone.

God made you to be YOU. No one else. He gave you a special ability to be exactly who you are to fulfill His Purpose. Let's celebrate our differences instead of fearing them.

THIS IS A SAFE PLACE.
