Is it all because of babies? I keep on thinking of these laws and the war against women to be honest and how so many things that allow women to be freely are being controlled by men and limiting our choices in so many ways I know and assume the main answer is that those in position of corporate power want women to breed as many children as possible to be able to keep capitalism alive and thriving but does that also mean they don’t care at what cost? I keep seeing all these takes and they are all connected to women being exiled out of corporate america and how is that not a red flag in any ones eyes? or i guess my question is what do they know or believe that i don’t know or understand?

With inflation and prices being so high it is becoming impossible for women who *still make less than men to live as single people alone and what scares me is how that allows women to feel the need to settle for partners and male partners especially in general for stability financially also with the potential roe v wade overturn and all of the laws on bodies around birth control those in relationships are more likely to face unwanted pregnancy scares and with inflation again impacting child care costs and even with the likelihood of maternity and paternity leave and causing parents to quit their jobs it seems like this is all a plan to send women out of the workforce!

i keep thinking about the handmaidens tale and how most events were true and things done primarily to enslaved women or women of color in general and i wonder how we fit in are we just going to become breeders for the infertile and still have to work because the idea of the stay at home mom has rarely been an option for us or are they just hoping with all the medial racism we will die out and more white babies will survive to continue the economy these billionaires need to sustain their wealth?

it’s SO fucked and everyday something else scarier happens and i just try to remind myself that none of this shit is real but it’s like a dark cloud of harm approaching me and i don’t know where to turn we are sitting here watching chosen representatives fighting over laws that have in place for decades while rivers are being dried out and a water crisis is on its way heat topping records each hour and inflation high enough to create a food shortage just because of costs and it seems like everyday we are moving backwards especially in terms of climate control and female rights

it’s hard to know what do next but gee do i feel unwanted, uncared for, and unmotivated to keep fighting but i try to remember that’s how they want us to feel

I was talking with my friend about the labrants name reveal a while ago and after seeing so many takes on their recent scandal I wanted to share my thoughts

I have always gotten bad vibes from the labrants mainly Cole but I really think a lot pf people overlook a lot of their awful decisions and qualities because of how ignorant they come off if that makes sense like Ive seen more takes about their outlandish baby names than the scandals they have caused by exploiting their children and their sicknesses which is fucked up

People always say if Maia knight was a person of color she would be face a lot more hate and I think the same is true for the labrants also maybe even if they weren’t as outwardly religious? I think this conversation also extends to mormon vloggers like 8 passengers as well who often use their religion to back their controversial decisions and opinions

I think about how I learned that in the mormon church women are practically raised to share their lives by blogging or vlogging and how its so similar to like missionary work in a way like getting your faith spread outwards to non-believers in order to get people to join your faith

Anyways what rubs me the wrong way about the labrants is how calculated it seems Cole was a viner and Savana was on social media as well but it was like once those two got together there was no world that they wouldn’t be blogging their family and their lives like its was out of the question which is a red flag to me I think of jessfam and how she didn’t set out to do YouTube as a career she did it to document memories and there is something about that that just seems so much more humble and down to earth and easier to digest if that makes sense to me Cole was always looking at the dollar signs

And I dont want to come off as religiously insensitive but I never liked how they both described Savanas pregnancy and pre-marital sex that created everleigh because the way I remember seeing it it was as if Cole was like judging her and like so outwardly against it since he successfully saved himself for marriage I just cant imagine being with someone who in a way like sees themselves above you because of a mistake you made like I just never liked that vibe and no matter how much she may regret it or not the fact that everleigh can look back and potentially see all of that content and how her mom feels about the situation is so screwed up

My main issue with family bloggers these days is that they know they are harming their kids in one way or another and they continue to do it in order to get a paycheck the logic is fucked because I feel like they look at is as okay some people dont have good intentions but most do so its okay like they are helping more people than they are hurting but I think about how they are always dancing they are always showing dancing videos of their children and doing tiktoks and it is known how hypersexualized the activity is and seen online and the harm done by dance moms and things like that and they continue to subject their young children to millions of eye online that they cant control I think about all of the info the dad challenge podcast has shown about the fan accounts and like going through childrens instagram accounts and how most of the followers are older males and I remember hearing Kaelin and kyrah talking about how birth videos do so well and how predators in jail would frequently watch family bloggers its just creepy and unsafe and the fact that each kid is jeapordizes without their consent is disgusting and not fair

I really hated how quickly it shifted from oh Zealand almost died to new baby name reveal its like you didn’t even take a break wait a little bit to post about the baby give the audience time to digest that information not that they even deserve it but nothing it was like this rollout and they could have editors who do the bulk of the work but the optics are just fucking weird.

I haven’t been talking about shows a lot on here because a lot of them haven’t made me like very excited or sparked any discussions that I want to bring on here but after watching first kill and immediately wanting to watch it again I realized I should talk about why

If I worked for a streaming service I would heavily use twitter to decide how I would market shows and to find type of shows I would recommend writers to make

I have been really into Degrassi lately and I think the reason why shows like degrassi and euphoria really work is because there are so many storylines that are relatable and there are so many characters that it is easier for people to see themselves and their stories within it and kind of like fall in love with the way its produced directed and written to the point of like stanning it and being obsessed with it

I follow a lot of black micro influencers and twitter celebrities on twitter especially LGBTQ+ ones and all they want is representation a lot of people feel that our media lacks successful black love on screen and something that made me realize that yesterday was that ongoing conversation of how colorist black shows are its always drawn a certain way light skin mother darkskin father darkskin son lightskin daughter and I think blackish started a discussion with Diane being darkskin but there’s still something that needs to be discussed with mixed children playing fully black characters

Anyways I loved first kill as a 23 year old who grew up reading twilight loving one direction writing fan fiction this was perfect to me! Unpopular opinion maybe but I love a Netflix original there is something about it that is so easy to follow usually has a great soundtrack and the story is never too overwhelming like im not going to get stressed out watching most Netflix originals especially like the young adult ones it was nice to see a same sex couple who’s main issue for not being able to be together wasn’t t because they were queer if that makes sense

Its nice to not have to be traumatized watching a gay love story take place and again back to degrassi you see both sides you see Marco get jumped for being gay you see Adam be bullied for being transgneder but you also see Fiona and Imogen have a cute love story but at the end of the day lgbtq+ people just want something lighthearted to relate to I have been obsessed with the one and a half lesbians podcast and they talk about how they dont want to watch first kill because they are sick of seeing interracial lesbian media which is valid no one wants to see a stereotype 24/7 and im not saying that that is but its almost what it is becoming back to the typical black family conversation

Not everyone lives that and I remember growing up as a black girl and just not feeling right or like I looked right or not being pretty enough because my mom was light my dad was dark and I was dark and seeing like kc undercover and shit like that and seeing yara shahid and wondering why I didn’t look like that or why my hair didn’t look like that not realizing that they are mixed yanno and its like people want to see themselves on screen and it is fucking weird that its difficult for black women in lesbian relationships to do that like how is that fair?

I think about the fact that friends copied living single and did tremendously better its because there are more white people and white people wanted to watch a show they related to it makes sense. But these stories like first kill and heartstopper, or love victor shouldn’t be like one coming out a year or like celebrated as an anomaly it should just be normal

First kill was exactly what we needed and I hope to see more series like that come in the future! Everyone go watch it now! Its a great weekend binge

As a teenager I worked with kids and I think thats why I have a lot of strong opinions on parenting but this one I sadly knew I was right about I worked in a daycare and so I heard day in and day out parents talking about ever stage of their kids life from literal conception to their teenage years and something that a lot of parents started being comfortable talking about that always rubbed me the wrong way was giving their children melatonin to go to sleep

I started working at my job at 15 and ended at 20 and every time I heard a parent say that they give their kids melatonin every night or some nights I flinched

New data is coming out about melatonin right now and its impact on children and adults and how taking it can allow your body to not create as much and I just get so scared for all of those kids who are going to grow up addicted to melatonin and have harmful side effects because of it There have been an increase in poisonings to children via melatonin and its just fucking scary

Our society normalizes things that it shouldn’t and our capitalist society has created so many things that harm our bodies to the point where it seems hypocritical to have an opinion on like things that could harm bodies or cause cancer when it seems like almost everything does if that makes sense especially knowing that I have or do indulge in things that are harmful but being on social media and tiktok and seeing the normalization of parents feeding their kids melatonin gummies and shit was something that they may have thought was lighthearted and okay that is actually just kind of not

Our society wants work horses through and through but that causes stress and adults to be overworked and tired and just wanting to rest once they get home at night causing tired parents who dont have the energy to parent at night

Big Pharma drives capitalism almost every medication taken is done so in order to fit into society better to be a better worker and its become second nature to combat pain with medicine and I dont want to get off topic here or become hypocritical because I am a believer in medication but its like there’s a line in everything where it becomes too much and where doing something to make your life easier becomes not worth it because it harms you or others more than it helps

Boomers and older generations say we are lazy say we need to get up and work but what would life be like if parents got home and were excited to spend time with their kids and run out there energy instead of rushing to put food on the table give them baths and send them to bed? I was listening to Kiera breaugh talking about her experience dating girls and literally like one minute in something clicked she said something along the lines of how when existing in a heterosexual relationship both parties male and female kind of know how it will work out and it painted me this vision

I thought of a guy setting his sights on a girl and asking her out and then they start dating and the guy is so simple minded he believe thats it like they are going to stay together and get married and have kids and the woman starts having doubts and I see the woman say she doesn’t want this and then it flashed back to the guy having like this tower moment where everything suddenly wasnt in his control out of whack and since he hadn’t learned any coping mechanisms and believed that his way of settling down and finding a girl didn’t necessarily require her consent or he didn’t even think of that scenario he was suddenly embarrassed and she became a villain in his eyes and i think this has 100% happened

The rise in domestic violence has been insane in the past few weeks I have heard one too many stories about women being stalked and killed by previous or current partners and I believe we need to have some unlearning done in regards to dating and traditional values

As a women I always grew up waiting to be picked. And I think more women need to start picking themselves if that makes sense any male person who showed attraction my way I was constantly enthralled because I had seen so many stories of like the sterotypical Disney princess and I think it also made it hard for me to really come to terms with my sexuality as well Rebel Wilson recently came out and said a quote similar like I was looking for my Disney prince but I didn’t realize I needed a Disney princess

Toxic masculinity has divided the development and ideals of males and females so much to the point of hatred from both sides and again I think it all boils down to the way both genders are raised and how it is shown in the media

Id love to see the statistic of successful relationships when it goes the other way because I think it would be shocking. Girls are always told to find a husband to find someone to take care of you but how many women are settling or over looking the red flags to feel a sense of comfort that could soon turn into their death. Im sorry that was dark but its like our world is quickly breaking into this dark hell honestly and everyone is too focussed on their individual goals to think of society as a collective.

This is something I have believed forever and as a black woman I think looking at black culture brings light to the major issue here it is very common for mothers to coddle their boys and treat their daughters like they are in the fucking military the difference is ridiculous girls are raised with tough love boys are always given the benefit of the doubt or there is always a reason for the way that they act when women aren’t given much grace

But the major difference is how emotions are handled growing up my younger brother cried a lot like a lot and my parents would say you are a boy dont cry and that is so fucking toxic for a young child to see and hear when you cry you are releasing your emotions which is so important and vital and its a much healthier way to do so then storing up all that emotion and letting it to come out in more aggressive and dramatic ways

This is getting out of hand parents are beginning to lose control of their children and the media they consume teenagers shouldn’t be allowed to be on these web forums like 4chan etc at such a young impressionable ages that could cause them to do awful things and start believing theories that have no substance

Teenage years are very difficult for parents you feel like you are losing grasp of your kids and they just hate you but parents need to take accountability for not making sure their kids are emotionally taking care of in terms of mental health and I know its easier said than done and our society is not easy to live in now these parents are just trying to provide for their families but at the end of the day

Not everyone is fit to be there 100% for their children and the way our government is set-up creating a bond and a great relationship between parents and kids is difficult to do but once you bring a child into the world that is your responsibility at the least until they are 18 but honestly for the rest of your fucking life

Our world is in a downwards spiral and it all leads back to the kids and how they are parented and what is going on now isnt working so I think its time for some fucking changes

I always wonder why I am constantly talking about parenting and raising kids because it fully effects our world at every angle they grow up to be working adults leading the society we are leaving this declining world for them to live in and I think its because I realize that my parents didn’t grasp a lot of the things I stated in this episode until it was too fucking late and I dont want others to make that same mistake

I have said it before and I will say it again. Why would anyone want kids in a country like this? Why would we want to bring them into this world? How would we be able to comfortably afford them and stay afloat? Would they even be safe to do monotonous things each day? Do I have the time to juggle a child, and afford daycare, and emotionally support a child while working a full time job. And we are trying to make abortions illegal? Think of everything I said previously that will literally just create more traumatized, poorly raise, emotionally neglected, poor children. You have to look around and ask why would our government want that?

And im gonna say it I think this Is all linked to the rise in sexual assault of males against other and the rise of mass shootings and extreme acts of violence done my primarily men monitor your kids!

And the choice to pro-create will always be yours no one else’s remember that!

I moved and I regret it. I regret wasting time on a dream that wasn't mine. Why am I doing so much for a company that doesn't inspire me? I feel incompetent because I have lost any spark that I previously had. It's time for me to take my life into my own hands.

When I saw the DCP new video about Kyra I didn’t have a knee jerk reaction. I was unmoved. I think its because this just seems so realistic to me like this is small town gossip to a tee. I do not think its okay if she cheated but I honestly dont know if she did at this point to me the whole situation makes sense and I cant help but think people project a persona that is perfect and doesn’t make mistakes and this one I think I would make very easily. Falling in love is so intimate and so much emotion I think as a society people either look at love like a business or a religious requirement, something to elevate status instead of looking for their other half and maybe its the hopeless romantic in me but Ive always loved so hard that it consumes my thoughts.

was starting to really like DCP but something about the last video made me realize why I initially didn’t I didn’t like that he referred to kyra as a hoe. Im not calling him mysogynist but I think society is conditioned to think that women think of sex in terms of pleasuring presumably men instead of doing it because they genuinely like to do it and when women express their desire for intimacy they are ridiculed and villainized when men are just brushed off for it it reminds me of Kandi from RHOA and how you see het men treat women who are sexually secure and verbalize that

What pisses me off is the people who say they care about the kids in the comments and say but the kids will see that and then say something derogatory in their comment towards a parent like you do not care about the kids you care about getting a top comment and the drama if you cared about the kids you wouldn’t engage especially in a negative way that the kids could just as well see as the content you are consuming about it

I still stand by everything in my initial episodes beside my aggression towards Oscar I realized today that Kyra’s brain is now fully developing and wondering how that must feel to have four kids a failed relationship and experiencing living on your own for the first time right when your brain begins to slow down

Im thinking of both of them and the kids this will be a big year of change for them and I dont know these people personally but sometimes I feel like they do because they just share so much information with the internet but I just think we should extend some grace to these adults who come from broken homes who are obviously very eagerly looking for love and desire wherever they can get it

I think about what I am going to say next a lot. As a teenager I had one teacher who at times I became really bitchy toward I would flip her off because she was outwardly racist she would say “ I dont know what to do with her” etc. I think this is when I started exhibiting bipolar behaviors and instead of reaching out and trying to do something about it she grouped me as a trouble child instead of realizing there was something more there.

Making quick opinions and judging someone off of their worst decisions isn’t fair especially when there could be something more at the surface Kyra has openly struggled with mental health issues and it could be something much deeper causing her to make rash decisions not saying that that negates how I acted in high school or how kyra allegedly acted in this relationship but it could somewhat explain it

I feel like social media is all these strong opinions and hate mobs that blow and change with the weather one day everyone likes Amy Schumer the next day they hate her one day we support victims and the next day they are making jokes about an abusive relationship brought to public court (Amber Heard and Johnny Depp)

Kyra and Oscar Okbaby Drama Preston and Hannah Hawker

so i found this podcast by trying to look up kyra from okbabys podcast but i listened to their episode on family cloggers and i was intrigued and i thought it was cool that i had never watched their channel i still haven’t and i didn’t know much about them but only though hearing their voices and stories through the podcast episodes

when i realized they were super religious my stomach started to churn i feel like christian’s get a bad rep especially as influencers and tv reality stars by being hypocritical and money hungry i automatically think of the duggars and their holier than thou persona that kind of fell apart due to their multiple scandals surrounding pedophilia and other examples of abuse

i listened to the abortion episode and my head was shaking and my jaw was dropping and i listened to their response to the criticism and i reacted the same way

i really sympathized with kyrah in the first episode talking about abortion when she talked about birth control and how she took it and i just felt scared for her in the sense that she felt that it needed to be a conversation with her husband about how it coincides with their religious views

this video is no hate to them and their views i just want to try to combat some of the statements he said in his rebuttal and try to understand why their views don’t make sense to me

i dislike the traditional values that in so many ways honor the man and their opinion over a woman’s and i think the podcast is a good example of that whether it’s done on purpose or not it seems like kyrah will stand confident in her opinion but ends up folding me being able to clearly see kaelins side when he fails to do the same for her

and what angers me the most is they kaelin claimed that women aren’t oppressed when it is seen over and over again in followers of christianity how women are literally valued less than men and how that power balance and structure still exists and how similarly to slavery women faced oppression from core rights during womens suffrage and we are literally stepping back to that now i thought that xommment he made was outlandsish as a black woman i do not understand how he can say that woman have not suffered when women still face the repercussions to not having rights prior to this day when women still make less money than men causing women to settle for men that they probably wouldn’t in order to make ends meet i didn’t realize how upset i was about that comment until now we are still faced with the sad facts and reality of things that happened during slavery and to think that with the few similarities although slavery was WAY worse women aren’t oppressed i think that is an ignorant statement

i don’t understand why christian’s have created this idea that their views trump all and they should be forced on everyone else when that simply makes no fucking sense separation of church and state i understanding being pro-life but making it to the point where you are choosing it for someone else is so fucked up im sorry i hate that christian’s love to play god instead of letting god do that himself that’s my biggest point on why i do not support the death penalty and how can christian’s support the death penalty and not abortion it’s hypocritical as fuck

So I was on twitter big surprise I feel like that is just my corner of the internet that I am addicted to and can’t find my way out but the term ‘grooming’ was trending and it made me feel weird.

Something that really makes me upset is when I’m going to speak straight to the point I’m not trying to be offensive but its just how I see it I hate when conservatives take something that was created by more open minded liberals and start using it to push agendas that seem like they are making a mockery out of the initial movement with that term or ideology

This wasnt necessarily done in this case in this case it was people accusing conservatives of grooming their kids by buying them guns and making them take pictures with them and stuff which I agree they are pushing an agenda on their children and that children are more likely to support the same causes as their parents and ideologies but to me using that word to describe a relationship between a parent making a child do something I think it changes the definition in regards to sexual assault

Grooming is a serious issue and I feel like doing things like what was done in this situation is not a good look. Sexual abuse and assault and is serious and the amount of young people still victim to it is fucked.

This kind of reminds me of the Black Lives Matter versus the All lives matter debate it never diminished the lives of other races but instead was used in order to amplify the importance of all of the innocent lives that have been taken do to racial injustice, but similarly following 2020 when everyone tweeted it everyone posted the black square it began to almost lose its meaning and become this thing you do to not look a certain way you know and to me these days thats not enough

You need to be antiracist. You need to step up and not condone white supremacist behavior. I am looking at so many people in the GOP who have not made a statement about the Buffalo Mass Shooting I am looking at the members of the GOP who failed to reprimand their supporters for the insurrection at the capital

Its so hard to look at what is happening and not feel as if we are moving backwards. This shooting was just fucking awful and it showed how so many black peoples nightmares and worst fears of people are valid and extremely possible.

I saw a video on twitter of course recently of an uber drive telling a couple to leave his car because the wife was quick to be excited that her driver wasn’t foreign or a person of color. Her husband proceeded to call him an n-word lover. We are in 2022.
