Apple PodcastsAndroidRSSMy son and I signed up for this tour led by David Jimenez, Education Coordinator for the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. We’d met David before through his inspiring “Art in the Park” workshops, but this time, his role as a guide revealed something deeper: a profound mindfulness woven into every story he shared.
As David spoke, I immediately thought of you—my listeners. I knew I had to share this experience. By the end of the tour, I felt like I had discovered an entirely new park. What changed? My perspective.
Trees became more than textured sculptures—they revealed themselves as vibrant homes.
What once looked like wild weeds transformed into lush carpets for deer and foxes.
And the Landbridge? It’s not just a safe crossing for people—it’s a lifeline for wildlife, connecting habitats and preserving balance.
This hike reminded me that when we learn about our environment, we begin to see ourselves not as separate from nature, but as part of its intricate design. We may be just a speck on this Earth, but this planet is thoughtfully crafted to accommodate us all.
Tune in and walk with me—mindfully.
