For years, Romina Caruana has investigated autism, analyzing every article that discussed the subject in the hope of understanding what was hidden behind the complex, compromised, and yet deeply joyful personality of her autistic brother. She spent years trying to grasp the sense of it, embarking on spiritual journeys and various types of therapy until she eventually understood that it was not her brother who did not exist, but that it was her. Throughout this journey, a single phrase has touched her heart and life more than anything else: “Autistic children are angels fallen from the sky who don’t want to come down to earth.”

Apple PodcastsAndroidRSSAbout her book The Dance of Souls which has been labeled fiction Romina says “No matter how far we run, we can never escape our past, and we can’t grow up as human beings if we don’t face it. This is something extremely common, especially among those who left their home country, and allows the readers to identify themselves with the protagonist. As Lev Tolstoy wrote in Anna Karenina, “Happy families are all alike. Every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.””
