The season of Lent is a time of preparation, of deepening our relationship with the Divine and preparing to receive a miracle!

Rather than focusing on sacrificing something you enjoy (giving up something for Lent), I recommend doing MORE of what you truly yearn for…something that will give you more love, peace, and connection.

1. If you were raised with a concept of God that made you feel anxious, afraid, judged or anything negative, know that you can change that right now. Nothing negative is of God, that is the ego projecting itself onto the Divine.

2. If you had a challenging relationship with your parents, it might be difficult to relate to God as Divine Mother or Father. But most of us have had a friend, or can at least imagine a friend, who cares for us and treats us as equals.

3. Meditation is a relationship. It is a process of creating more and more intimacy with your own Self. As we learn to deeply relax, we become aware of the Divine Presence that is always present. We learn to become God's friend.
