Summer often feels like it passes too quickly. As tonight's prayer reminds us, its longer days, family gatherings, and simple joys can make us wish for just a little more time before the shorter days and busier schedules of fall arrive. Yet, even as we reflect on plans left unfinished or moments that slipped by, God invites us to see the change of seasons as a chance for renewal.
Psalm 139 reminds us that the Lord surrounds us in every season—behind and before—His hand steady upon us. As summer fades, we can thank Him for the blessings and lessons of the past season, release regrets that weigh us down, and reset our hearts for the season to come.
The end of summer is not just a closing—it’s also an opening. A chance to refocus, reprioritize, and allow God to renew our purpose and passion for what’s ahead.
Tonight's Evening Bible Verse: Psalm 139:5
“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.”

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer
Oh, Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the incredible gift of seasons. Thank You for the memories, lessons, and growth You gave me this past summer. As I enter a new season, please renew my heart and restore my passion for Your purposes. Redirect my steps where they need to go, and help me walk boldly into the future You have planned for me. Let me live with intention, hope, and peace in You.
In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
🧘 Three Things to Meditate Upon
Gratitude for Summer — Pause before rushing into fall. Reflect on the joys, small or big, that summer brought, and give thanks.
Release Regrets — Let go of unfinished plans or disappointments. Invite God to renew your mind and spirit.
Reset Priorities — Ask God how you can make space for Him in this new season, letting His grace guide your goals instead of outside pressures.
