A Table at the Tan-O: Conversations About the World of General Hospital

Gia and Keisha are back and dressed as Ava and Tracy (or maybe just dressed as a couple of ladies who don't know how to pump their own gas). They're also still on vacation, so don't expect a lot of wisdom. Any wisdom. But they do like the Five Poppies merch and would like some. They would also like Brook Lynn and Chase to stay together and be happy, so please be nice to Brook Lynn, Gio. And they continue to be impressed by Gio and Emma's friendship. Hopefully, all of this lab stuff will play out in a way that doesn't harm any beagles or Gio or Britt. It would be lovely if Liesl could see her Britta again.

Gia is in Maine! Gia and Keisha are sharing a microphone! This may be a mistake. Plus, there are adult beverages. Adult beverages do not equal adult behavior. So, apologies all around. But, on the General Hospital front, Gia and Keisha are still capable of recognizing great characters, great writing, and great acting! Best mom of the year is probably a tie between Laura and Elizabeth. They're both so lovely in the way they dispense wisdom and guidance. Gia and Keisha could use some of that. A round of applause also to Rocco for reaching out to Laura and defending Liesl, to Portia, Nina, and Curtis for being quite civil to each other and looking good at the same time, and to Willow for leaving it all out there. And just knowing Britt is alive and Jason is looking for her is very exciting. Also, Joss is a force to be reckoned with!

Oh dear! Willow is ... well ... scary! She's very, very scary! For some reason, taking a break from Wiley and Amelia has really messed her up. Baffling. Anyway, she is hellbent on getting back together with those kids! She could care less about Nina and Drew! But will she get to see the children? Will she spin them around like she did Daisy? That might be fun to watch. And poor Scout! She's back to having just the one very, very mediocre parent. Willow could steal her! Or trade her for Wiley! Also, Kristina is still kind of a mess.

Gia and Keisha are a day early (Gia has a gig tomorrow night!). This means they can address some of the things they forgot last time. Namely, Portia and Curtis. And Lois and Brook Lynn (and that other lady). Portia is on a path both Gia and Keisha can support. But, because it is a soap opera, Portia may not come thoroughly clean, which will make Gia and Keisha unhappy. Also, Curtis should embrace this Portia. Meanwhile, this lady with the sweet tea was a bit much, and also not enough. It was nice to see Brook Lynn and Lois working together, but sad that it didn't last. G and K want some healing. Now, Sonny seems to be on everyone's sh*t list. Is he as bad as Sidwell? Do we have to lump Jason in together with him? Surely, they're just complicated and not evil. Right? And it looks like Willow's not as good at hiding her darkness as she might have thought. Or maybe she doesn't know how bad she's become. Drew might have his hands full with this one! A good reminder that you have to be careful what you wish for!

Liesl hit the ground running! She could see right away that Willow was a mess, and maybe she can help Nina do something about it. And if it involves burying Drew alive, there will be rejoicing throughout the land! Meanwhile, Sasha has taken her hairy baby to visit with Robert. Poor Robert. But how sweet that they get to be together as a family. And Britt has been spotted! Will Jason leave Sonny to deal with Sidwell and go off in search of her? Let's hope so! Finally, Joss and Vaughn, Carly and Jack. Maybe WSB men just aren't that special. The PCPD could put together a better calendar. P.S. Gia and Keisha need to talk about Portia and Curtis, and Lois and Brook Lynn! They got distracted by the Coldplay situation. Very sorry!

Liesl is back!!!!! That's the good news. That might be all of the good news. The bad news: Nina betrayed Sonny (who was very understanding--he really has come a long way, except for the occasional murder). Sasha and Daisy left Michael with just the two lesser children. Portia was given a very unpleasant assignment (although this might be the perfect way for Michael to rid himself of the aforementioned children). Isaiah has been given a sh*tbox in the woods (where Willow might turn up with these same troublesome, lackluster children). Oh, and Marco missed his mom's funeral. So a lot of balls in the air. P.S. Lulu is the worst.

Warning: this episode of A Table at the Tan-O covers a lot of ground. And also very little ground. There is talk of sled dogs, sheep, cats. A bit of philosophizing. Vaginas. So, something for everyone? Some of the conversation was a bit GH-related. Jason--can a hitman be the moral center of a town? Lulu--can't she just shut up? Chase--does he work out every day? Laura--could she be any more nurturing? Kai--could he be any more naive? Vaughn--well, who cares.

Okay, it's Thursday, July 10, 2025, and this is the day Gia found Kai slightly interesting. Slightly. We'll see if that continues. Keisha finds the idea of Cody and Elizabeth interesting, but that might not happen. It's just that Ric and Elizabeth are not a good idea. Ric and Ava? That's not really going to work either. And how about Sasha deciding maybe Daisy doesn't enjoy being spun around? That's good parenting. Bold parenting. Lovely of Michael to support her when everyone else seems to believe more spinning will be good for the baby. Also, Gia and Keisha are worried about Brook Lynn. Worried about Emma. Worried about Willow? Yes, even with her bad behavior, she still deserves better than to be trapped in a house with Drew. Also, good to see Joel Sartore and his animal pictures, although Gia was distracted by the frog picture which she found unattractive. No offence, Joel. Or frog.

Only one episode to discuss, but it was a lively one! Gia and Keisha do not like to see Daisy being turned around or tampered with or taken out of her crib for no good reason. It's too scary. Stop it. Now, Lulu and Brook Lynn getting in a real brawl where hair is pulled out at the root and lipstick smeared--that's okay. Jens and Marco teaming up? Troubling. Also, Joss and Vaughn's plan to distract Emma with Vaughn (who doesn't have a lot going for him) ? Upsetting. G and K don't want to see Emma getting hurt. And what will Gio think about this guy sniffing around Emma? Finally, Anna may be the worst cop in Port Charles. This may or may not be a problem.
