Opposition leader Angus Taylor says One Nation's economic plan for the country would "send us broke" and has accused the right-wing party of being a "column of smoke".

In a speech at the Sydney Economic Institute, Mr Taylor said four of One Nation's policies alone would cost a trillion dollars over a decade and rubbished the party for having "no credible plan" to pay for its promises.

South Australian police are investigating a death at a regional hospital yesterday, after Liberal Senator Kerrynne Liddle said an elderly person had died during the Telstra outage.

In a statement, a Telstra spokesperson says the company is working closely with South Australia Police to support the investigation and establish whether there is any connection between the death and yesterday's network outage.

A fragile push to end the war between the US and Iran has been strained, after the US concluded a second day of airstrikes on Iran.
