If someone were to tell you that 5,000 years ago a program was started in order to train the most elite warriors of that time to become calm and centered in any situation, I’m sure it would pique some interest. How about if you found out that it teaches mastery of the mind and optimal functioning of the entire body, sounds even better. Oh, and one last thing, the teaching and techniques of this program were so profound and so successful that they are still practiced today. I think it’s safe to say that most of us would be signing up for that, if that’s the case then our interest in it shouldn’t fade or vanish when we find out that this practice is yoga. Hang in there though because you just might learn something that could save your life.
I’m really excited to share this great and so very important conversation with my friends Olivia Mead and Eric Brenneman from Yoga For First Responders. Their knowledge and passion are infectious, and their organization is changing and saving lives. This episode is the first in a 3-part series so be sure to tune in to them all.
