A clandestine autopsy, a brain stolen in the night, an epidemic with a nebulous etiology, a psychiatrist with dubious methods, angry nurses and a protocol-based administration: it is into the wanderings and flashes of historical research that The Stolen Brain invites the listener to enter.
The Stolen Brain is the story of Louise, a historian, freshly graduated with a doctorate, who is awakened at night by two men who steal her brain. It is also the story of the stolen brain of a nurse who died in Brussels in 1924 from a mysterious illness. Above all, The Stolen Brain is the story of a historian who discusses and lives with her archives at the expense of her career and social life.
Inspired by real events and based on original research, The Stolen Brain is a documentary fiction that explores a historian's conversations with her archives, questioning her relationship with the past, her beliefs and the writing of history.
EPISODE 3 : An Executioner with a Heart
