I want to talk about something that is near and dear to me and that is how ADHD impacts my schoolwork. No this is not an episode about distraction or paying attention.

In this episode, I will discuss how my challenges with reading quickly have impacted my ability to turn in assignments on time. I know some listeners are saying okay, then turn it in. For many, this will always be the logical decision but for some of us, it will not. Instead, we allow the anxiety and the stress of receiving a bad grade or negative feedback to interfere with us turning in our arduous work. How many of you have been there? Well, if this sounds like you, let me offer you motivation and words of wisdom to respond to these feelings as I have experienced from time to time. Thankfully, that is less of a reaction these days.

Do you fear looking ignorant when asking questions?

These are all questions people ask themselves and even more so when they are in school and have ADHD. 

There are many challenges to navigate through before you even take your first class. From the enrollment process and academic advisors to purchasing materials for class. 

Then it happens your first semester begins and you are already behind, frustrated, and stressed out.
