ADU 0671: I’m a Part 107-certified police officer. Does my agency need a COA?

Listen Later

We often get questions about COAs for police officers and firefighters.  As someone working in public safety, how do you obtain a COA?  Does your department need one if already have a Part 107?

Because COAs can be somewhat confusing, we explain how they work.  There are a few variations on the COA.  Each one applies to different pilots in different circumstances.  If you're wondering which COA your public safety agency needs, listen up!

Also, we'll be offering drone training for public safety in the near future.  Keep an eye out and fly safe!
