Let's say you got a hit movie.  People are loving what you got the star is hot the director's a visionary and it's even a little bit scary:  people dig it!  So let's IMMEDIATELY make another movie with all the same people doing the same stuff to tell more or less the same but technically a different story about the same characters.  But what if it somehow takes ten years to make this sequel?  Or 20?  Or 30?  Or even longer!  Today on Adult Films with Collin and Ron, the first podcast to ever exist and also be about movies, tha boyz (tm) are joined by podcast Robert Littwin to discuss long delayed sequels!  Plus a round of the Lost in Translation game (with a great karaoke intro) and them sweet recommendations, baby!

You gotta have a gimmick kid, a hook!  Movies are hard to make, and arguably even harder to get anyone to give a shit about.  So a good gimmick is extremely valuable to any budding or established filmmaker!  Today on Adult Films, the first ever podcast to involve doughy nerds talking about movies, tha boyz (tm) are talking about movies with weird gimmicks?  What if an entire movie was in first person?  What if they put little motors under chairs in the theatre?   What if everything was one unbroken take?  What if you got your dick sucked?  All that, plus a round of the quotes game!  On Monday, April 29th, Adult Films will be at the beautiful Gallery Cabaret in Chicago, IL for a screening and live podcast discussion of Food Fight!

Sequels make a lot of sense.  If a bunch of people wanna buy a ticket to go see one movie it would make sense that they'd wanna go buy tickets to see the same actors play the same characters in a slightly different but usually pretty much the same story.  So more or less every successful movie has a sequel planned, but those sequels often don't get made.  Sometimes for boring reasons, like an actor wants more money or the director is one of the three people Hollywood decided doesn't get to rape anymore.  But sometimes sequels don't work cause they're insane.  That's what we're talking about this week on Adult Films!  On Monday, April 29th we're screening Food Fight and recording a life podcast at the Gallery Cabaret in Chicago!
