Adventures In Woo Woo

The latest AIWW Book Club has kicked off over on the Patreon Discord. This time we’re reading The Bhagavad Gita. In this vlog I share some thoughts and difficulties I have had over the years with the text and how seeing it in the greater context of the Mahabharata has really helped me understand the teachings in a better light.Discord access is available with any paid Patreon Tier! The 15th episode of NAMELESS, which is usually a monthly Patreon exclusive podcast series, but as this will be the last episode for a few months, I thought I’d share it here with all you good people. For those who don't know: Darragh is host of The Spirit Box podcast and author of the book “Song of the Dark Man” and Tommie is the man behind Adventures in Woo Woo & The Forty Servants!
This will be the last NAMELESS episode for a couple of months as Darragh is taking a break from podcasting.

Agatha Not Agatha
Can you talk about how this podcast came about, how it got its name, and favorite/significant moments from episodes past from each of you?

ECOCLOWN
What are your meditation practices looking like these days?

Rich
People often talk about the 'results' of a spell, but rarely talk about any physical toll. Can magickal work cause actual physiological damage or chronic illness?

BEELEAF
How much do the visuals of a ritual matter? If a sigil is ugly or say a servant's art doesn't 'resonate' with you, is the magick more likely to fail, or is the aesthetic just window dressing?

Te Wheke Pai
What's long distance international travel looking like? Do you bring your routine with you, do you try to research the woos of the destination..etc?

JARJARBONKS
Many modern occultists 'adopt' deities or practices from cultures they have no ancestral or cultural link to. Where is the point where 'eclectic practice' becomes cultural appropriation? And does the spirit actually care about our human politics of lineage?

CODINA
Is 'magick always has a price' a genuine occult law, or is it just a piece of Christian baggage?

ECOCLOWN
And are you guys surprised by any news items this year so far, or like me, just all expected part of the course?

Tbecket
I've been staying current on global news. Are the End Times upon us?
And if so, how should we best prepaге?

SIR PSI
Is it possible to perform effective magick without an altered state of consciousness? Can pure, dry intellectual intent ever rival the results of 'gnosis' or trance?

Jon Lenin
Is the 'Dark Man' of folklore a literal, independent entity roaming the crossroads, or is he a recurring psychological projection of the human collective unconscious? Does it even matter which one he is if the interaction feels the same?

Four.Fingers
is there such a thing as Technomancy' that actually works? Can an algorithm be haunted, or is magick strictly tied to the organic, biological 'wyrd' of the earth?

CRYSTAL DIVA
If there was a way to make magick 100% reliable and easy (like an app) would we lose the very thing that makes it transformative? Is the struggle and the 'theatre' of ritual actually the part that changes the practitioner?
Gin Jones
Chaos magic adjacent question-would you or have you ever been tempted to join an organised religion to try out a belief structure? If so, what do you recommend? I want to go to church for the music and vibes-should I ?

Coda Goldfish
What is the most 'non-magical' thing you do that actually improves your magic the most?

Hello, good people of Podcast Land!. Every week I do a vlog over on my Patreon and I thought I'd post this week's vlog here for free just to give you all a taster of what the PVlog is like.Lots in this one, mostly based around some deep insights I have had recently from letting go of the magick reins and looking again at Kashmir Shivaism and the work of Hareesh.Initiations VS Awakening, and how initiations are the “test” of awakenings. How my understanding of Lila has finally clicked with me.I spent my entire life trying to achieve something in all levels of my life. How I tried recently to allow more Lila in my life. How “hustle culture” exists in spirituality too.Why knowing what the cosmology, orientation or Dharshana is utterly important — how else can you know what you are meant to be doing? The reason for creation in Kashmir Shivaism.Awakening is recognition, not finding something new.The Nature Of The Place In Which We Find Ourselfhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIuLlVG7bZMWhy “everything working out” can only be a limited view or contraction of divinity. There is nothing to be done. There will always be a looming apocalypse.Free Will and Predetermination.Your life could never have been any different. What happens when we die.Join the PATREON:https://www.patreon.com/tommiekelly#spirituality #awakening #kashmirshaivism #magick Send a donation via PAYPALhttp://www.paypal.me/tommiekellyBuy Me a Book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/33TYYN3KT7ZAJ/Amazon Wish List:https://www.amazon.ie/hz/wishlist/ls/2BXBZWW3CU9O2Newsletter: https://www.adventuresinwoowoo.com/newsletter/Find out about The Forty Servants:https://www.adventuresinwoowoo.com/thefortyservants/Web: http://www.adventuresinwoowoo.com

In this episode, I talk about my views and ideas around The Elements and how they fit into my greater cosmology that I have been presenting in the recent podcast episodes. I talk about how I see the elements as being the process through which we inspirit the world.

Having recorded this podcast and reflecting upon it, I have a greater appreciation of why people equate SWORDS with Fire — it certainly a good option, and would describe a lot of the element well, but not all I feel. It would leave AIR as Wands, which also could be successfully argued. I shall ponder further. :)

INTRO & UPDATES

Gnosticism, The Chosen, Jesus, Catholicism, songs, rituals & the book club.

06:50 QUICK RECAP OF THE GREATER COSMOLOGY

10:00 PART 1: AIR — THE HOLY SMOKE

The place where the message is given, and where spirit enters the world. The Flower. Speaking to and with the wind. Saying things out loud. Why talking can dissipate or manifest intentions. Air Magic.

19:36 PART 2: FIRE — THE HOLY FIRE

The crucible, where the message gets forged. Passion, ego, individualism & the Work. The Spirit of the Times. Fire Magic. Keeping the light.

27:40 PART 3: WATER — THE HOLY WATER

Where the message is understood and seen for what it is. Reflection, acceptance, going with the flow, how it hasn't anything to do with you. Water Magic.

36:25 PART 4: EARTH — THE HOLY GROUND

Where the message is embodied. Spirit becomes grounded and solid. Spirit becomes mundane. Real life. Planting the new seed. The upward, increasing spiral. Earth Magic. The “Dirts”.

 46:51 WRAP UP & BLESSING
