Let's start the year with a great adventure!  Could you live on cruise ship most of the year? Sounds like an amazing retirement!  Today we talk to Ric Irick, world traveler on a transatlantic cruise! (first time for us connecting to a guest on cruise ship for an interview)!  Ric recently retired from his career in Washington D.C. and loves to travel! What better way to accomplish this than by back to back cruises.  He tells us all his cruise secrets and hacks as he experiences a retirement journey many would love to copy! Today's episode has us meeting up with Michelle Lombard from Arizona.  Michelle is  really rocking her retirement adventure bucket list with adventures like hot air ballooning!  This is a great conversation as it is an adventure I want to take soon!!!  What is it like flying without a tether?  Michelle isn't afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone and into retirement like the rock star she is!  Are you ready to fly with us???

Meet Dawn Whitley!  We had such a great conversation with her about her "passion" in retirement, her daylilies! Dawn has embraced daylily gardening with a zest just as she did her career as an engineer at the Campbells Soup Company.  If you are like me, (Cindy), gardening is a favorite hobby in retirement and it isn't always easy.  There is so much to learn to be successful and produce beautiful flower beds.  I hope you enjoy learning about her passion as much as I did.

Africa is a dream vacation for many of us!  Curt and I are already scoping out African safari vacations in anticipation for a once in a lifetime trip in our near future.  Africa is a wild wonderland for vacation thrill seekers such as our guest today Ellen Gleitman Luchette and her husband.  Their adventure was full amazing  events and sites.  You'll want to listen clear to the end to hear their adventure coming home! Thanks for the inspiration Ellen! I can hardly wait to see the elephants and the African Serengeti!

Happy Birthday to us!!!  Yes, it happens every year!  We celebrated our birthdays just three days apart with another great adventure!  This time New York City!  This new tradition (it is  now a tradition if we have done it twice, right?)  is a fun time for us both!  We believe every year should be celebrated in retirement as so many of our friends and family didn't get this experience.  Our retirement motto of "don't sit too soon"  is what motivates us! Have you visited NYC?  This episode is all about THE BIG APPLE and all the fun times we had there.  Happy Birthday Curt!  PS ... I'm still the boss because I'm three days older!

Have you had the chance to fulfill one of your bucket list adventures yet?  As a retired person we have the time and hopefully the resources to do just that....and the list is endless!  In this episode we meet educator Rick Brant who is set to retire in the next few years.  We salute his career of 30 years as an special education educator and are excited for you to listen to his great pre-retirement adventure as an "elephant whisperer"!   If this adventure is his standard...we can't wait to hear about all of the ones he has planned when he retires in three years.

Today we meet Leanne and Jonathan Paetz and boy do they have a retirement adventure to tell us all!  Curt and I are lucky to call these folks friends! Leanne and I (Cindy) have been friends since kindergarten ( Go Great Danes)! Leanne is also an excellent graphic artist that created our logo and for that we are so thankful.  But, back to the episode, this couple have started their retirement adventuring with a big WOW!  A Tesla pulling an Airstream???? In this episode we meet a great guy who has made his winter home ... now his permanent home in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.  We have a special place in our hearts for the the Valley as it was our home for over 30 years.  Living there as a Winter Texan is a whole different lifestyle than what we did as a young working family and we were so happy to meet this great couple who love the Valley like we do!  We can't wait to hear about their experiences and favorite places!  Who knows, one of you might decide to become a Winter Texan after listening!

   In this episode we talk to a Dawn who has taken up Bee Keeping in retirement and is now a professional bee keeper!  Dawn Beck has all the buzz on how and why we should watch out for this exceptional flying insect.  We have heard all the talk lately about the bee situation in our country and how important the honey bee is to our lives and Dawn is doing her part to help!  In her retirement, Dawn has made the honey bee and her local grown honey a priority!  I bet you might just go find some locally produced liquid gold after listening!
