Curt and I agree on many things such as dinner plans, vacation destinations, and child rearing techniques. This might be why we are such a good fit as a couple! This episode, Get Your S#!t Together, is one of those decisions.  We both believe it is probably one of the most important episodes of our AdventuRetired anthology because we are discussing the legal papers ALL of us should have in place for our loved ones after we are gone and before!
At AdventuRetired we tell you to "don't sit too soon"   "gray and away"  "live your retired life"  and many other inspirational quotes, but this episode is more than a quote.  This episode talks to us and tells us that we need to get our S#!t together earlier than later in this wonderful life of retirement.  We are all mortal and our family members deserve our preplanning in the times ahead.

In today's episode we meet Michael Drak, a retired tri-athlete, who has made an effort to get into his best shape ever and compete in a full triathlon.  His triathlon (3.8k /2.4 mile swim, 180k/112 mile  bike ride, and 42k/26.2 mile mile run) was held in Mexico.  Michael tells us how he trained for this amazing athletic feat and how he uses some of the same training methods to make his retirement journey successful.  Get ready to be motivated!

What can be better than endless food, drink and relaxation?  Experience an "all inclusive" resort and you will find out how to be pampered with the best!  We traveled to beautiful Costa Rica to relax and kick back at the regal Riu Palace Resort.  Eight nights and nine days of sunshine, relaxation and fun times was the result.  We love the Costa Rica "Pura Vida" slogan for sure.  Life in Costa Rica is a such a "good life" that we didn't want to come home!

What is your retirement dream?  Maybe it is to sail the seas or climb a 15,000 foot peak.  It could be to visit a foreign country and maybe it might be to downsize and live in a camper exploring new places without the worries of homeowning.  That is just what our guests did! Downsized and are now traveling in their camper and loving their retirement life.  Hope you love listening to this latest adventure with Kim and Liz!  We sure did!

Steve and Deb Danks packed up their home and moved to Florida, the Sunshine state, in their retirement years.  In this podcast episode we discuss the reasons they moved and learn about why they love their decision to leave the Midwest for warmer climates in a traditional neighborhood.  We had so much fun connecting with them and learning all about their retirement adventures!

This adventuring couple are living their best retired lives and we are so jealous of the great places and caminos they have experienced.  And to top it off they own and run a winery in retirement.  Two of our favorite things...hiking and enjoying a great glass of wine at the end of a beautiful retired day!  I know you are going to love this episode and meeting our new friends.  I see a micro trip happening in my future to their winery in Southern Iowa!

What are your goals in retirement?  For many of us, participating in favorite sports is high on our list.  Mix in some healthy competition and new friendships and you have a winning combination!  Today we talk to Brad Allen,  one of our few working and non-retired guests about his role in the North Carolina Senior Games.  Yes, you read that right! Brad is not retired! However, I think he will shed some very important knowledge on the senior games that are held in all 50 states and we will give him some encouragement to continue working for that ultimate goal to reach retirement bliss!  Thanks Brad for your great senior games advice!

John Tanner is THE expert of BBQ.  This episode tells how he plans each BBQ trip and how BBQ differs everywhere he travels.  This retired law professor/attorney  has what it takes to be an expert at his craft.  What is better than some savory BBQ and tasty sides while visiting new BBQ joints all over the United States?
