    ## if 조건문
    > If I get up early, I will go swimming.
    if + 현재형, 주어 + will ...
    ## if 가정법
    > If I liked water, I would go swimming.
if 과거형, 주어 + would ...
    ## if 조건문과 if 가정법 비교
    > If it is sunny, we will go on a picnic.
    > If it was sunny, we would go on a picnic.
    > If I win the competition, I will be a star.
    > If I won the competition, I would be a star.

Well, it is just as I have been telling you, Mr. Sherlock Holmes
    as
'내가 보여준 대로 해.'ex) Do it as I showed you.
have been -ing는 '계속 해 오다'라는 뜻입니다. '지금까지 3시간 동안 계속 공부했어요.' ex) I have been studying for 3 hours.
과거형을 써서, '제가 말했던 그대로입니다.' ex) It is just as I told you.라고 해도 되고, 현재완료를 써서 '제가 말한 적 있는 그대로입니다.' ex) It is just as I have told you.

Put them on the table, and bring her in and see her open the bundles. Don't you remember how we used to do on our birthdays?
"How will we give the things?" asked Meg.
"Put them on the table, and bring her in and see her open the bundles. Don't you remember how we used to do on our birthdays?" answered Jo.
"I used to be so frightened when it was my turn to sit in the chair with the crown on, and see you all come marching round to give the presents, with a kiss. I liked the things and the kisses, but it was dreadful to have you sit looking at me while I opened the bundles," said Beth, who was toasting her face and the bread for tea at the same time.
"Let Marmee think we are getting things for ourselves, and then surprise her. We must go shopping tomorrow afternoon, Meg. There is so much to do about the play for Christmas night," said Jo, marching up and down, with her hands behind her back, and her nose in the air.
"I don't mean to act any more after this time. I'm getting too old for such things," observed Meg, who was as much a child as ever about 'dressing-up' frolics.

"Why don’t you give up being a people’s doctor, and be an animal-doctor?"
    give up ~ing
    why don't you 동사원형

    The Story of Doctor Dolittle
    Chapter 2 - Animal Language
It happened one day that the Doctor was sitting in his kitchen talking with the Cat’s-meat-Man who had come to see him with a stomach-ache.
“Why don’t you give up being a people’s doctor, and be an animal-doctor?” asked the Cat’s-meat-Man.
The parrot, Polynesia, was sitting in the window looking out at the rain and singing a sailor-song to herself. She stopped singing and started to listen.

001 (get someone something)
Let's each get her something for Christmas, and not get anything for ourselves.
    something/anything
단, 무언가를 권유할 때에는 의문문이라도 something을 씁니다. ex) Would you like something to drink?
    get someone something
I'll get you a cup of coffee.
    get something for someone
'누구에게 무엇을 사 주다' get someone something을 get something for someone으로 바꾸어 표현할 수 있습니다. I'll get a cup of coffee for you.
    ourselves
왜 not get anything for us가 아니라 not get anything for ourselves일까요?

"What could be more natural than his asking you again?
He could not help seeing that you were about five times as pretty as every other woman in the room.
No thanks to his gallantry for that.
Well, he certainly is very agreeable, and I give you leave to like him.
You have liked many a stupider person."
    "Dear Lizzy!"
