  • Ep. 29 - WTF Is Food Addiction Recovery - My Food Addiction Journey Part 2

In last week’s episode I shared my personal story of food addiction. In that episode, I talked about my lifelong journey with compulsive eating, food addiction, and attempts at weight loss and recovery.

When I recorded it, I was just beginning a new 8 week group coaching program for food addiction and recovery with two coaches. What I didn’t mention was that this program was based on a ketogenic lifestyle and we'll talk more about that in a bit. • Ep. 28 - WTF Is Food Addiction - My Food Addiction Journey Part 1

In the first episode of this two-part series, I share my story as a food addict and compulsive eater as I was headed into an 8 week group coaching  program for recovery. In part two, you'll hear from my two coaches about recovery from disordered eating integrating a ketogenic lifestyle as part of the recovery process.

I’m sharing my story because I feel compelled to  share what it's like for other people like me who deal with a food addiction but have no idea it exists. What a huge AHA moment it was for me when I first learned about it. And I’d already been classified for years as a compulsive overeater, but having it explained as an addiction put all the pieces of the puzzle together for me from a lifetime of behaving like an addict/alcoholic when it came to food.
