I ramble for about thirty minutes on the topic of self-publishing. I outline my philosophy here so I can have a reference point for my thoughts and feelings on the topic, so I never have to discuss it online ever again.

Mark came on to talk about Marxism, Florida, and his new novel The Heartbeat Harvest, which I put out on Broken River Books. It's Clive Barker meets Reservoir Dogs, and I love the shit out of it. We also have an interesting discussion about translating the visual and auditory storytelling we love in film into prose.
