Eric and I have been friends since the sixth grade. That's 18 years! In this episode, we talk art, philosophy, and our fucked-up hometown. Eric also talks about his time doing a residency in a ramshackle art institute in Estonia. Good times!

I hopped over to the Casa de Scandal/Kazepis for a follow-up chat with Michael. This time, we ate pizza and drank some beers and got DEEP. This is probably my favorite episode so far. The booze helped lower the inhibitions to get at some interesting concepts, including the difference between writing in conversation with your heroes and writing for mass consumption.

I had Eli on the show to talk movies, bad fantasy novels, and celebrities misbehaving. Eli does a lot of special effects work (The Last Witchhunter, American Ultra, We are Still Here), in addition to being a director himself. He's probably the dude I clicked with the most here in Portland, as we're both Southern/Midwestern assholes. Birds of a feather!
