I met up with Cody in a pool hall to chat. We moved to a bar. This is a fun conversation: we talk writing, who might be the next Philip K. Dick, nostalgia, politics, the role of art in the coming years, and then we end with a long chat about psychedelics.

He's also a very talented musician and writer. We talk about social media activism, weird individualist tribalism, pretentiousness vs. authenticity, and how best to create something that represents you as an artist.

D. is the author of Made to Break and Patricide. He teaches a class called "Gutter Opera" over at Litreactor. In this podcast, we wax funny and philosophical about writing and the publishing industry. Also we talk about food allergies, and becoming a good person. This is a truly great convo. I finally feel comfortable doing these podcasts, and D is a fantastic conversationalist. An hour and a half flew by!

I met Mark in France. We were in Frontignan for a book festival (we share a French publisher) and hit it off really well. He's a super cool guy, the author of Raw: A Love Story, Salty, and Naked At Lunch. In this podcast, we talk about Trump, France, writing sex scenes (and what to call genitalia), and erotic My Little Pony fiction.
