You know what I’m talking about… The guy who says that “you only live once, why not enjoy yourself” while inhaling toxic fumes into his lungs and pouring toxic liquids into his body… If that’s what you want from life, go for it… It’s not for me… I’m done with going around in circles, looking for solutions at the bottom of a glass. I’ve seen the other side and there’s no going back for me. Make the commitment. See how good this life is. Don’t waste another moment kidding yourself.

I wanted to do something new today, a quick review of a book that I've been talking about for a long time. It is one of the best books that I've ever read on the subject of quitting drinking. I stopped smoking about seven years ago by using this guy's book - 'Easy Way to Control Your Smoking'. I'm talking about Allen Carr's 'Easy way to Control your Alcohol'.

Each and every mouthful of alcohol has been consumed with your permission, with your knowledge, and with your acceptance. The opposite is also true. If you want to stop drinking alcohol, only you have the power to change that alcohol story. Only you can decide never to put another drop of alcohol in your mouth. Will you make that decision once? Or will you make the same decision over and over again, never following through, never fulfilling the opportunities that are staring you in the face.

Negativity affects all aspects of life, not just when you trying to quit drinking alcohol. I think negativity is a contributing factor in people drinking in the first place. Negativity distorts the world around you, at least your view of the world. It can become habitual, leading to poor physical and mental health, and can result in wrong thoughts, wrong decisions, and ultimately wrong choices.
