  • Everything Is A Lie Until They Pay The First Rule Of Sales
Here's the first rule of sales. Everything they say is a lie until they pay.
“Want to connect on facebook? Add me on Facebook:

Everything they say when they do not pay is a lie. This is the number one rule in my mastermind, the Daily Business Hustle, for sales.
When anyone is doing any kind of sale and they tell me that the client did not pay, because they had to talk with their wife, husband, business partner or whatever. Everything like that or any kind of excuse is automatically labeled as a lie.
Why is that the case? People are very sneaky. They do not want to tell you the real reason, because they do not want to hurt your feelings. They do not want you to close them yet or whatever else reason they have. Or maybe they do not want to buy from you. They do not want to tell you, because you may be upset.
Everything they say that is not leading to you getting the money is a lie.
For example, we had one mastermind member and we had multiple prospects promising him that he will be paid next month. Then next month both prospects are just gone and they are not going to pay.
Why is that? That is because everything they say until you get them to pay, until you get them to invest is a lie, because they will find an excuse not to pay you. Waiting to pay makes people think long and hard. It is just easier to hold on to the money.
They do not want your service, they do not want it. What they want is the money. If the service can bring more money logically, they may buy, but they will get scared, because you are not there to make it ok, you are not there to take the fear away.
On the sales calls you should get some kind of deposit, some kind of money. Preferably 100% upfront, even it is refundable. That way they are much less likely to escape. The more money they invest, less likely they are to say that whatever they have bought or they are going to buy is basically bad.
If you use this very powerful principle in sales to get paid, if you use this rule (get paid) and ignore everything else, then you will increase your close rate. This is the mindset you need to have. It does not mean that absolutely everything is a lie. It does not mean that the only rule is to get paid. That is not what I am saying.
What I am saying is whenever someone comes to me and the client did not pay, whatever excuse the client has unless it is like they absolutely cannot afford it, there is no way they are going to pay or the client is going to be a complete pain in the ass to work with. Whatever other excuse they have, then it is absolutely not true.
I do not even know the client, I do not even know what they say or what happened on the sales call, but I know it is not true just from experience.
This is the number one rule. We have many rules like this, but this one is really special to me, because every newbie and sometimes even advanced member of my mastermind makes this mistake.

In this podcast I interview Matt Jeziorski, who's just 23 years old and has build 2 successful businesses.
He usually spends his time traveling the world and is hard to get a hold of but we've managed to get together in London to do a quick collab.

Matt has been able to run a $10K business using Upwork. He exited that business and he is now selling food in Europe that he is importing from Asia.
In the beginning Matt wanted to make a living from the comfort of his home. He was looking for something that does not require a lot of investment. The best way to start with was a digital marketing agency.
Matt has been able to use platforms like Upwork and Fiverr to find people who can outsource the work. Using those people together with the Upwork platform where he was searching for clients, he was able to deliver different digital services to clients all around the world.
Matt did his own market research. He researched what people were looking for at the time. He found that most of the people were looking for websites. He knew that there is a lot of demand in that industry and that is how he picked his niche.
You can still sell websites in Upwork, but we in DBH prefer to sell Facebook adds, email marketing and apps.
Market is changing constantly. You have to check how many offers are posted per day in each particular niche. The best way is to contact every single person and send as many offers as possible per day. You have to rely more on the quantity than on the quality of the offers.
When you are working online you have to develop certain amount of trust with your client. That is why it is advisable to get them on a call than to reply with messages.
A very common question is how to learn the stuff that you are offering as a service. Many people are worried about that when going into that business. The reality is that you do not need to learn it and you do not need any skills. You can find someone else that is good at this and he can deliver the work instead of you. Get their portfolio and offer their portfolio to your customers. That is a win – win situation. You focus on sales, lead generation, trust development, building a brand.
Another way is to do a quick job for free and offer something very cheap just to get experience at what you are doing. Then you can add your work to your portfolio.
Here is the process that you have to follow…
You send as many offer as you possibly can. Then, you get them on a sales call. The most important skill that you need to have is sales. You cannot survive in that business without that skill. During the sales call, you develop trust, you try to persuade them to buy from you and you provide them as much value as possible.
At the end of the call you should send a PayPal link so that your client can send you money. After they send you the money, you can start working on the project or you can outsource the project to other people.
In order to scale that business, you can hire people who can do the work for you. You can hire someone to send proposals and do the lead generation, you can hire a project manager, fill all positions and make the business completely automated.
Matt started his own YouTube channel in order to record the activities in his daily life and share how he was able to live his life on his own terms.
