The 2024 NBA draft withdraw deadline has passed and college basketball retained many key stars - including UConn's Alex Karaban, Alabama's Mark Sears, and Arizona's Caleb Love. More surprising were the returns of Hunter Sallis to Wake Forest and Payton Sandfort to Iowa, keeping even more star power in the game next season.

There were some key departures, including Kansas wing Johnny Furphy and Dayton big man DaRon Holmes, although neither felt like a big surprise. Perhaps the biggest surprise was David Jones, who will stay in the draft instead of returning the Memphis and coach Penny Hardaway.

Finally, the transfer portal was bolstered by the decisions of Coleman Hawkins, Arthur Kaluma, Jamir Watkins, Garwey Dual, and Ugonna Onyenso to return to school - and you can expect big bidding wars for these kids from programs like Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas State, and North Carolina.
