Today I cover the Alec Baldwin charges, jury selection, and the Alex Murdaugh murder pre-trial motions that just keep coming. 

On June 7, 2021, Maggy and Paul Murdaugh were murdered at the sprawling 1700-acre South Carolina hunting estate ‘Moselle’.  A year later, Alex Murdaugh was indicted and arrested for the murders, the Trial began on  January 23, 2023, in Colleton County, South Carolina.  

There has been a lot of pre-trial activity ahead of the trial starting. The court recently ordered the jury information sealed and not disclosed, meaning jurors will be referred to by number, and their information will remain private.

The defense is seeking to keep a blood spatter expert from testifying; they filed a motion for sanctions related to that request. The prosecution has stated that they will not mention the expert until the court rules on it, and that subject is tabled for now.
