A huge goal for so many photographers is to reach six figures, whether that just looks like a hundred thousand or you actually have the goal to profit six figures, which I personally do yearly. As someone who has gone from charging $2K for weddings to charging $5K for weddings, and then now up to $10K for weddings, I want to share what some of those differences might look like between the $2K range and the $5K range. I’m also talking about how to get from one tier to the other. 

A lot of this does depend on your location, expertise, and experience. So, we’re going to talk through all of these things as well as reverse engineer what your goal is and what would be needed from you to be able to reach that goal.

This is the first Snapshots episode, and today, we are diving into a question about associate teams. This question was submitted by Cassie, and she asked, “What was the biggest lesson you learned through having an associate team?” 

I started my associate team in 2022 and it has been one of the most rewarding ways I have scaled. Something that has been on my heart for a while is wanting to change my business Instagram account into more of a personal account. Even though my business account has always been more so personal, I felt this was a needed change this year. Some of the reasons are more personal, while some are more strategy, but I’m sharing the 3 main reasons why I’ve decided to make this pivot. 

This change feels so exciting and freeing for me, because it will take a lot of pressure off of having the perfect feed, but will also give you more relatable content. So, if you are feeling any kind of tugging or pulling to go in the same direction, I want you to consider this your permission slip to also do the same or a similar thing that feels good to you. I will be rooting for you! I truly think 2024 is going to be the year of less curation.
