  • 54 - Tara's Book It Review: How She Paid Off Over $10k in Debt and Went Full Time in Book It

Have you heard about my programs and wondered what your life could look like if you were to join? Well, I'm doing something I've never done before! I'm bringing on one of my students, Tara to share her experience while she was in my mentorship program, Book It.

Her story is guaranteed to inspire the heck out of you! Not only did she go full-time and make $62k in her first 6 months, but she was also able to pay off over $10k in debt. Tara also raised her prices, created systems that up-leveled her client experience, and became more confident in the industry.

During our conversation, Tara opens up about her journey with going full-time and taking the leap which gave her the opportunity to make that $62k in her first 6 months of business. She says that networking and connecting with other vendors has been a huge part of what she considers to have made her successful, along with my program Book It.

I hope this episode gives you inspiration and encouragement after hearing where she was and where she is now.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Tara's background as a nurse
    • The goals Tara had and why she ultimately decided to join Book It
    • What her first month in Book It looked like - including raising her prices from $1500 to $5000!
    • How Book It has helped set Tara up for success
    • Where Tara is now in her photography business

  • 53 - A Look Into My Post-Event Client Experience

Do you communicate with your couples once the wedding is over? In the past, I have talked about the pre-booking client experience and even the client experience while you're actively serving your couple. However, I've never actually talked about how to continue to give a client experience after the event is over.

In this snapshots episode, I'm sharing my strategies for maintaining a client relationship after the wedding, including delivering previews, engaging on social media, and sending personalized notes and gifts. Your post-client communication doesn't have to be overwhelming. You can keep it simple and effective without being overly extravagant.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • What my album workflow process looks like
    • Maintaining client relationships even long after the wedding
    • Keeping the communication simple

  • 49 - How I Lead a Discovery Call as a Photographer

In this snapshots episode, we are covering a question that was submitted by quite a few of you and that was how to lead a discovery call. Discovery calls have the ability to make or break your sales process, so I understand why so many of you asked this question.

By the time a client gets to the point of inquiring with you and booking a discovery call with you, they are in that second phase of the marketing funnel, so this call really is the final step before a couple gets to the third phase, which is hiring you.

We are diving into why discovery calls matter in the first place, how I view discovery calls, how I remain the leader of the conversation during those calls, and how I measure the success of a discovery call.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Why discovery calls matter in the first place
    • How to remain the leader of the conversation
    • The 3 pillars to remain the leader - Connection, Communication, Confidence
    • My favorite question to ask during a discovery call

  • 48 - The Difference Between a $2000 and $5000 Wedding Photographer

A huge goal for so many photographers is to reach six figures, whether that just looks like a hundred thousand or you actually have the goal to profit six figures, which I personally do yearly. As someone who has gone from charging $2K for weddings to charging $5K for weddings, and then now up to $10K for weddings, I want to share what some of those differences might look like between the $2K range and the $5K range. I'm also talking about how to get from one tier to the other.

A lot of this does depend on your location, expertise, and experience. So, we're going to talk through all of these things as well as reverse engineer what your goal is and what would be needed from you to be able to reach that goal.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • The nuances when it comes to pricing
    • The different pricing tiers and what each of those photographers looks like
    • Changes a $2K photographer should make if they want to reach $100K a year
    • Viewing yourself as a business owner first and finding a mentor
