In launches: Jaclyn Hill’s new priming and setting collection has been revealed, Bread Beauty has launched in Sephora Australia and Vieve is about to drop a highlighting product! P.s we were wrong about Vieve … it’s totally not a powder. 

Moving into a beauty breakdown, this week we’re discussing slugging. Not the wormy kind. The K-beauty skincare trend that’s doing the rounds on tik tok and promises to reduce trans epidermal loss of hydration. So what is it? And do you need to try it? Let’s discuss. 

This week we trialled the Dr Dennis Gross Intense face tanning wipes. They’re an AHA/BHA/DHA delight combining light exfoliation with a tanning glow. Finishing this episode up with the usual: beauty faves, non beauty faves and some meal-like snacks.

In beauty news, you’ll recall a mini saga last year when it was realised that SPFs out of Korea weren’t performing to the standards they were claiming. Krave beauty released a statement this week with an update on their extensive lab testing of Beet the Sun.

Happy Easter Monday! We hope your bellies are full of chocolate, and your tinned tomatoes only purchased whole. 

This week there’s LOTS of beauty news to get through, followed by a snack related ‘I can’t believe you didn’t know that’, our product trial, faves, and snacks. 

First up in beauty news, ultimate cool girl Jen Atkin has announced that her and her partner are having a baby via surrogacy. Secondly, Jae Haircare and Mecca’s new Pout Pop sheer line have launched at Mecca this week. In addition, Mecca have been trialling TerraCycle recycling services in-store and have announced that this service will be available in all stores by the end of April. Moving on to Sephora Australia news, Milk Cosmetics has finally dropped, and we’ve decided that we don’t want to try the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drops already. Lisa also has more Shaanxo conspiracy theories to share with you all and Desi Perkins has very swiftly dropped a new skincare line under her existing brand Dezi. 

This week we trialled the Mecca Cosmetica Vitamin C serum that boasts 15% L-Ascorbic Acid for the low low price of only $55. Whilst it’s a little too early for us to discuss the long term impacts this product had on our skin, we chatted about how it compares to our other Vit C faves, who it’s great for and what we think of the ingredients list.
