Happy No Year! We're kicking off the year by revisiting a topic that we just scratched the surface of last time - FRIENDS! Join Ellis and special guest Friends expert Nikki Long as they go over some of the good (and bad) parts of Friends that we didn't get to last time. We promise it's not all ripping into Ross..

So... 2020 has been a bit of a year, hasn't it?
We decided to take a look back at the first year of our podcast, answer some questions about what we liked and what we didn't, as well as a fun questionaire at the end to round things out. We are so grateful for all the support that we have recieved this year from all of you wonderful listeners and can't wait to keep creating in 2021 which, statstisically, HAS to be a better year for everyone.
Love you all <3

One's thing's universal, life's no dress rehearsal! So today, unrehearsed and spontaneous, we are chatting with Feminism Ruins Everything's Favourite Lesbians Kirsty Burch and Em P. Webber to discuss movie-musical THE PROM. We dive deep into its queer representation, celebrate strong ally characters, and ask the big question: should a straight British man be playing a gay American?

Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to hear something strange? Will this movie fail or pass? It's Feminism Ruins Everything's take on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (okay, perhaps the scansion in that last line doesn't really work and it's a very forced line, but what can you do?)
Join us as we see how spooky the sexist gender roles is, how terrifying the lack of varied female characters is, and ask the all important question: is this really a story about cultural appropriation?

I said BRRRR, it's cold in here, there must be some PODCASTS in the atmosphere.
This week we're tackling the seminal 2000 cheerleading film BRING IT ON. We dissect the cloud of toxic masculinity that follows male cheerleaders, lament a whole bunch of girls NOT supporting girls, shudder at the homophobic slurs being thrown left right and centre, and Mim's brain implodes at the prospect of sexualising teenage girls.
