Headed up by Jamie Genevieve, in the Frow and Nikki Makeup as the ambassadors, the new location is also providing makeup change rooms for people who want a private makeup try on experience. Pat McGrath is launching their 9th Mothership palette. And speaking of duo chrome eyeshadows, urban decay are bringing back their moon dust eyeshadows as a limited edition release. James Charles is running makeup masterclasses with a surprising, and maybe cringe worthy twist, Rhianna is dropping fenty perfume and Mecca have announced their beauty election winners.

In beauty news, Byredo have launched a limited edition version of their blanche fragrance in beautiful white packaging, Glossier has upset the beauty world by finally releasing a bronzer. Ticking the boxes for not completely inclusive, a doe foot applicator, and a shimmery finish, we have to say the sentiment is that they’ve left much to be desired from this long awaited drop. Kylie Cosmetics has re launched with their new vegan and cruelty free formulas and Mecca is continuing to trump the beauty world in Australia by releasing a podcast and app. 

We also have a mini update on last week’s beauty news segment about Johnson and Johnson’s sunscreen recall. We discuss what benzene is and how it ended up in their batches. 

Finally for beauty news, we discuss a technology breakthrough in the beauty industry, courtesy of Dezi Skin. Say hello to our very first oxygen powered, continuous (yes CONTINUOUS) mist. This skincare/makeup hybrid is a smart launch to put Dezi skincare on the map.

Happy Lockdown Monday to half of Australians! 

First up in beauty news this week, Jaclyn hill has been attacked… Both physically and emotionally. How in this day and age is it possible for a brand to still release non-diverse products? Well, let’s rant about it for a little bit. Big congrats to ABH for countering her move and releasing a range of cream bronzers this week that go DARK. The Katie Jane Hughes x Spectrum brush collection has been released in smaller sets, Tarte have embarrassed themselves on social media and Johnson and Johnson have recalled a large portion of their SPF rage in the US. Final piece of beauty news is a laser hair removal update and it’s great news for everyone who panic bought the Braun Silk Pro with Alex. We’re seeing results so far *claps*.
