To kick off this week with beauty news, we’re chatting all things beauty boxes. The boxes that aren’t advent calendars but are chocked full of beauty goodies and excellent discounts. The reason for this, this week Amelia Liana and Caroline Hirons have announced these value-packed delights. 

If you’re looking for a little extra fanciness in your life, this week On to the Christmas goodies - Go To have launched Face Hero Extra as part of their holiday collection! Boasting larger, golder, fancier packaging, Lisa and Alex think it’s certainly worthwhile picking up for convenience and more luxury packaging. 

In additional great beauty news, Estee Lauder has this week announced that they have reached net 0 emissions by sourcing 100% renewable electricity for it’s global direct operations. 

Our product trial this week was a long-awaited handover of the Shisedo Syncro Skin foundation from Alex to Lisa. So listen in to see what she thought and who she think this foundation would be fabulous for.

Guess what everyone! We’re recording together… in person…face to face!!

Trust us, we can’t believe it either. 

Things may sound a little different but don't be alarmed, our lives haven’t picked up that much yet. We're still kicking off this week's ep #iso style with some light garden chat and an introduction to Alex’s new resident bat, Bobby.

Speaking of Bobby's... In beauty news this week, the founder of Bobbi Brown has just announced the launch of her new brand, Jones Road! Whilst we love the ethos and concept behind the original Bobbi Brown line, you’ll see that we’re not sure if she’s hit the mark with this one. Most importantly, it's officially time to put up your Christmas trees because the '20 Mecca Holiday packaging has been revealed! Designed by Australian artist Louise Zhang, this bright, swirly delightful packaging is sure to be the feature of our IG feeds for months to come. 

In lieu of a product trial this week, we thought it would be just as fun to bring you our ANTI-FAVES of the week. Alex's - an at home body scrub concoction and Lisa decided to revisit the Allies of Skin Triple Hyaluronic serum. In a tale as old as time, fool us once shame on you, but fool us twice ... shame on us. The result? Both of us ending up with hives and orange peel skin. How lucky are we?!

After our anti faves, things got a little nutty, so forgive the giggles, farts (disclaimer: not ours) and wax mannequins as we get through our beauty faves, things that Lisa let expire, snacks and non-beauty faves for the week.

Hello! Welcome back to our last week of double eps for a little bit because it’s time for Lisa and Alex to re-join society with their new found Melburnian ‘freedom’!

First up, in beauty news we’re discussing the most perfect new collaboration ever between Glossier and the women’s NBA for the new additions to their body care line. Desi Perkins hath birthed her baby boy! Unfortunately we recorded this episode on the day of said tiny baby’s birth, so we don’t know much about him, but hooray for babies. Lastly in beauty news this week, we’re hunting for candle scientists as Aesop launched a new candle … a candle that costs 3 cents per minute to burn. Yep, you read that correctly.

This week Lisa and Alex continued their trials and tribulations of probiotic skincare. This recommendation was delivered direct from skincare goddess herself, Caroline Hirons, so we figured we MUST try the Mother Dirt AO+ Mist. This patented one-of-a-kind probiotic spray has a lot of claims, including the need to no longer shower … find out what we thought of this product after a lengthy 4 week trial!

We’re so #good, kind and pure this week that you might be confused who you’re listening to! Has iso turned us into the eco, green, vegan, sustainable beauty podcasters you’ve always wanted us to be? Probably not. But our recommendations this week coincidentally seemed to follow this trend. 

It’s a dry-arse week for beauty news this week but Mecca’s first drop of holiday launches dropped and Lisa divulged receipts between her and Adrian about Alex’s early birthday present suggestions. 

We also discovered that a couple of products discussed in previous weeks episodes as ‘new launches’ are now available at Sephora aus. 

This week we trialled the new Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure vegan nail polishes. They’re a new plant-based 16 free collection of earth inspired nail polishes and we’re keen to tell you our thoughts!  

A revelation that Lisa had this week led us to a new ‘I can’t believe you didn’t know that’… you should store your liquid brow pens and liners upside down. Sound weird? We know. Find out why. We also have EMPTIES, Lisa reveals her favourite affordable Hyaluronic Acid serum, and of course non beauty faves and snacks to see us out.

Whilst we have no evidence at all, we’re sure J star is at this point, so rich and famous that it’s impossible for him to be cancelled because he’s just got dirt on… well, everyone.
