When I first started out in the kink and BDSM community, I had so many insecurities. Things I didn't even realize. That's the funny thing about being insecure. Not only can a confident, outgoing person like me still feel these things....we might not even know we're feeling them.

On today's episode I share a few vignettes about times I conquered insecurity, accepted myself, and basked in my own self-worth. And just to show that it's still a daily practice, one of those experiences was not long ago at all!

There unfortunately remains a lot of fatphobia in today's world—even more so in the kink community. A long time ago I noticed these trends and decided to do something about it.

We live in the Information Age—which is simultaneously some of the best and worst humanity can come up with.

I recently joined TikTok and had heard from my friend Sunny Megatron (listen to her podcast!) that there was some pretty wild misinformation about the world of kink and BDSM floating around. I took a minute to browse the hashtags and boy howdy, she wasn't wrong.

I took it upon myself (as I often tend to do these days) to educate the masses and make a quick TikTok of my own—informative and helpful—about the often used "Prime Directive" (which I talked about on a previous episode—check it out if you don't know what I'm talking about). It got a lot of attention, which was very good, yet the fact that these young people hadn't heard this very basic information had a dark undertone.

Because of this, I'm doing a "Kink 101" to those who are looking to get started, looking to learn more, or looking to dive in even further. Class is in session.
