Our story today begins with President Joe Biden’s first call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Typically Israel, as one of our closest allies, receives a call right after the inauguration, however, it took President Biden up until last Wednesday, February 17th, four weeks later. Nonetheless, this talk means a lot for both leaders. For President Biden, it means how will the United States move forward with its relationship with Israel and the situation in the Middle East. For Prime Minister Netanyahu it means preparing a strong campaign ahead of the March 23rd election.
