On this episode, I sit down with scientist and spiritual teacher Amit Goswami, a long-time and now retired physics professor from the University of Oregon who took the radical risk of bucking the physicalist paradigm to pursue his own theories on reality, quantum physics, and the human soul.

Goswami has written several formative books on the connections he sees between quantum physics and spirituality. All of these point to a revolutionary idea: the universe itself is a mind in the midst of becoming, and we’re all shards of that essential unity.

Goswami’s most famous book, “The Self-Aware Universe” changed lives, and is even now helping readers break free of their ontological chains to understand the role of consciousness in the manifestation of being.

We discuss his ontological flip, the human ego, the soul, the state of science today, and how it all arises out of a mistaken perception of reality.
