"Every student of the letters of Paul, the Acts of the Apostles, and the Book of Revelation will find much of value in 'New Testament Cities in Western Asia Minor'," writes W. Ward Gasque. The author investigates "the status of the archaeological information which we now have about key cities of western Asia Minor during the early Roman Empire": Assos, Pergamum, Thyateira, Smyrna, Sardis, Philadelphia, Ephesus, Miletus, Didyma, Laodicea, Hierapolis, and Colossae."

(For Educational Purposes Only. The Creator owns their content.) "Many today find the Old Testament a closed book. The cultural issues seem insurmountable and we are easily baffled by that which seems obscure. Furthermore, without knowledge of the ancient culture we can easily impose our own culture on the text, potentially distorting it. This series invites you to enter the Old Testament with a company of guides, experts that will give new insights into these cherished writings. Features include • Over 2000 photographs, drawings, maps, diagrams and charts provide a visual feast that breathes fresh life into the text. • Passage-by-passage commentary presents archaeological findings, historical explanations, geographic insights, notes on manners and customs, and more. • Analysis into the literature of the ancient Near East will open your eyes to new depths of understanding both familiar and unfamiliar passages. • Written by an international team of 30 specialists, all top scholars in background studies."

  • 1272. Google Play Store. Audiobooks and EBooks Previews. (10/05/21). Edwin Yamauchi, PhD.
(For Educational Purposes Only. The Creator owns their content.) "One of the most important issues facing New Testament scholarship today is the issue of Gnosticism." So wrote the author in 1973 in the first edition. With the publication since then of the entire Nag Hammadi library, this observation has become even more incisive.
Was there a pre-Christian Gnosticism? Did Gnosticism directly or indirectly influence nascent Christianity? Many modern scholars argue that Gnosticism preceded the emergence of New Testament Christianity and constituted the raw material from which the apostles formed their message about Jesus. The author here analyzes the evidence used to support this thesis. He notes a series of methodological fallacies in the use of this evidence and concludes that clearly Gnostic materials are late and pre-Christian materials are not clearly Gnostic.
A new chapter in this paperback edition brings the discussion up to date."

For Educational Purposes only. The Creators own their content and music/songs. Check out the Audiobook preview in the Google Play Store: The Meaning & the Translation of Surah Al-Jinn (The Demon Race) from the Holy Quran in English Language.
Surah al-Jinn (“The Jinn”) is the 72nd chapter of the Quran, with 28 verses. The name as well as the topic of this chapter is jinn. Similar to angels, the Jinn Race or Demon Race are spiritual beings invisible to the naked human eye. In the Quran, it is stated that humans are created from the earth and jinn (demon) from smokeless fire in more than one instance. Only human and jinn have free will.
In the second verse the jinn recant their belief in false gods and venerate Prophet Muhammad SAW for his monotheism. The jinn race apologize for their past blasphemy and criticize mankind for either neglecting them or encouraging their disbelief. Verses 20-22 are especially important as Pure Monotheism (Tawhid) among the jinn (demon) is reaffirmed, and the inescapable wrath of God is emphasized. The Judgement in verse 7 and the Punishment in verse 25 are both references to the Islamic Judgment Day, Yaum al Qiyamah. Verses 25-28 establish that Qiyamah is known only to God and that God takes into account all the deeds of a man when judging him.
