J. Robert Oppenheimer was an American theoretical physicist who directed the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project and played a central role in developing the first atomic weapons. His historical legacy is associated with scientific brilliance, the moral consequences of technological power, and the profound questions surrounding the use of atomic weapons during World War II.

Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker, Christian author, and Holocaust survivor. She and her family sheltered Jewish people and others persecuted by the Nazis. After their arrest, she endured imprisonment, including incarceration at Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her book The Hiding Place recounts her family's resistance activities, her imprisonment, and her faith.

His experiments helped establish the importance of comfort, affection, and emotional bonds, although his methods caused significant animal suffering and remain ethically controversial.

Heraclitus of Ephesus was an ancient Greek philosopher associated with continual change, fire, the Logos, the unity of opposites, and the famous river teaching: “You can't step into a river twice” because the river is no longer the same river, and you are no longer the same person.
