Against South Dakota and Kansas State, Iowa State showcased a different, more dominant performance. The offense was balanced and efficient, while the defense continued to be a brick wall, stifling opponents’ efforts to score.

A truly good team doesn't just win; it wins with authority and adapts to its competition. The Cyclones have done both. They've showcased the ability to win ugly, grind-it-out games, and they've shown they can dominate when given the opportunity. This level of consistency and adaptability proves that Iowa State is a legitimate contender. Their on-field performance is the most reliable evidence of their strength, suggesting they can hang with and even defeat any team they face this season, regardless of their opponents' perceived quality after the game is over.
