🌾 Evening Meditation
Are you lying awake tonight, already consumed with everything waiting for you tomorrow? Pastor Kyle Norman invites us into a different rhythm—a rhythm of trust over turmoil.
Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:34 offer not a denial of life’s difficulties but a redirection: fix your eyes on Me, not your fear. As Kyle points out, worry is a form of meditation—it consumes our thoughts and emotions, often about situations that haven’t even happened yet. We fill our minds with “what ifs” before the day even arrives.
Instead, Jesus calls us to be present. His grace is for today, and His presence is powerful enough to break the stronghold of anxiety. In our worry, we tend to miss the gift of His nearness. But tonight, you are invited to set aside tomorrow’s burdens and rest in the presence of Christ, who already holds your tomorrow.
🙏 Your Evening Prayer
Gracious Jesus,
When my mind races and my heart feels overwhelmed, help me to pause and turn to You. I surrender my worries and tomorrow’s tasks to Your care. Remind me that You are with me right now, and that Your grace is sufficient for today. Grant me peace tonight, and when the sun rises, help me rise with the confidence that You are by my side.
Amen.
🌙 Three Things to Meditate Upon
How can your worry become a prayer?
Take what’s burdening you and speak it aloud to Jesus. Invite Him into each concern.
Where is Jesus strengthening you right now?
Reflect on His presence and how He has helped you through stressful moments in the past.
Be present.
Worry draws us to the past or future. Take one deep breath. Fix your heart on Jesus, who is with you in this very moment.
