  • G.I. JOE - Skeletons in the Closet
Just when we thought the escapades of G.I. JOE couldn’t get any crazier, Skeletons in the Closet comes around and turns the absurdity levels to the MAX!
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we wrap up our G.I JOE double feature is Ruler of the Wasteland and patron of the animated arts, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss how G.I. JOE goes full on Scooby Doo, replete with satanic cult members and a cthulhu monster; we see the (possible) origin of the famous “Diplomatic Immunity!” line; and finally, we ask the all important question, “who exactly is taking care of that giant spider in the basement?”.

  • G.I. Joe - Cobra Claws Are Coming To Town
When you’re the wasteland’s most feared and powerful warlord, your appetites tend to be vast - and cartoon consumption is no exception. With the animated portion of the Krypto-Cast complete (...for now), the quest to satiate Immortan Hoof’s thirst for fresh cartoons continues. But rather than focus on one series like we did with Superman, I decided why not offer the Ruler of the Wasteland a wider selection of content? After all, the Kids section in Apocalypse Video is enormous, and who wants to get stuck watching a subpar cartoon series?
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we witness the birth of a toy empire is the Ruler of the Wasteland and patron of the animated arts, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss how G.I. Joe has more action in its opening credits than most other shows have in entire episodes; we wonder how Cobra ever manages to pull off their overly elaborate plans when their entire force is composed of idiots; and finally, we come up with our own spinoff: G.I. Joe - Collateral Damage.

  • The Mask of Zorro
The 1990s were a helluva time to be a movie fan. Films like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2: Judgement Day would usher in the CGI era, wowing us each year with the wonders of computer wizardry, leaving practical effects and stunt work further and further in the past with each successive blockbuster. But one film would buck the trend and remind us of the glory days of stunt men - making audiences exclaim at the screen with “Holy Shit! That guy probably died, am I right?!”
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we review one of the all time greatest swashbucklers are fellow cinephiles and dashing rogues Ryan Caldwell, Michael Althouse, and special guest: Jackie.
Listen as we try our best NOT to devolve into the Chris Farley Show as we gush over this childhood favorite; Ryan introduces us to the concept of “Frame-Fucking”; and finally, we collectively swoon over the suavest male duo since Newman and Redford.

  • My Name Is Nobody
They say time is a flat circle, and if the hole in spacetime in our foreign films section is any indication, that saying is correct.
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we saddle up for an old fashioned spaghetti western adventure are fellow cinephiles and rootin’ tootin’ cowpokes Ryan Caldwell, Michael Althouse, and special guest and inter-dimensional traveler, Eric Smith.
Listen as we discuss the line between parody and Looney Tunes-level farce; we marvel at the psychopathic tendencies of our hero “Nobody”; and finally, we wonder how many horses were injured or brutally killed in the making of My Name Is Nobody.

  • Famous Studios Superman - Secret Agent
It is time. After seventeen installments, the Apocalypse Video Krypto-Cast is finally coming to an end...for now (let’s just say a group of fanatic followers and their God, “Zack Snyder”, refuse to let a certain team-up film die). And what better timing, as it has become wildly apparent that the once great Superman animated shorts took a huge nosedive when the series switched hands.
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we wrap up the 1940’s animated era of Superman is Ruler of the Wasteland and animation super-fan, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss a series so eager to get to the finish line that they didn’t even bother to sync up the sound correctly; Superman senses the end of his animation career and starts phoning it in; and finally, we are introduced to one of Superman’s most dastardly villains: Hitler-Lite.

  • Famous Studios Superman - The Underground World
With all of the Ptera-People incidents we’ve had at the store in the past year, it’s a remarkably timely surprise that the subject of the latest Krypto-Cast happens to be --SPOILER-- Bird People. Who knew a cartoon from the 1940s would still be relevant all these years later?
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as I advocate for Bird-People rights is ruler of the wasteland and lover of cartoons, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss the secret origin of the Bird-People; we debate whether or not Superman is responsible for Bird-People genocide; and finally, Perry White reveals his true nature as he leads one of the biggest cover-ups in Metropolis’ history.

  • Xanadu
Welcome back to the podcast where time stops and the magic never ends! I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as always are fellow cinephiles and roller disco fanatics Michael Althouse and Ryan Caldwell.
This week, things get a little trippy around Apocalypse Video. I know I’ve had my fair share of Mountain Dew Livewire induced hallucinations before, but this latest one was so vivid, so amazing, that the closest I could come to explaining it was by doing an episode on the 1980 cult classic Xanadu; a spectacular entertainment that truly transported everyone at the store beyond our dreams...and into my crazy nightmares.
Listen as we discuss a film that could only have been made by aliens from Xanadu (and Joel Silver); I develop a schoolboy crush on Olivia Newton-John; and finally, we cast the hypothetical remake by swapping out Gene Kelly with a certain disco dancing Scientologist.

  • Famous Studios Superman - Jungle Drums
If there’s anything that Indiana Jones has taught us, it’s that if your franchise is starting to lose steam, bring in the Nazi's for some relief villain pitching. After all, like Indy, Superman really hates those guys too.
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we are treated to a surprise acid trip is ruler of the wasteland and lover of cartoons, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss the gnarly and nightmare fueled visuals in Jungle Drums; the Nazi’s take some fashion tips from the KKK; and finally, the Air Force ruins Hitler’s day. (#SadHitler)

  • Famous Studios Superman - The Mummy Strikes
I never thought I’d say this, but thank God for mummies! After what seemed like an eternity of boring crap and propaganda films comes a halfway decent installment of Superman in The Mummy Strikes!

I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as I crack open this sarcophagus is ruler of the wasteland and a King by his own hand, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss the only Superman villain to ever scare me as a child; we try to understand the thought process behind the conviction and eventual release of Jane Hogan; and finally; Superman answers the age old question: How do you kill a mummy? The Answer? You punch it.

  • Sorcerer
After a month of the Krypto-Cast ruling the apocalyptic airwaves, I am proud to announce that Apocalypse Video is back with an all new, non-Superman related episode! (Don’t worry Krypto fans, Superman will be back faster than you can say “is this miniseries over with yet?”)
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we tackle “the toughest, most relentless American film in a long time” are fellow cinephiles and criminals in hiding Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.
Listen as we discuss the one unstable movie bridge to rule them all; we try to figure out why a film so good bombed so hard; and finally, we take a closer look at William Friedken, the craziest auteur filmmaker of the 1970s.
