  • The Black Cauldron
With the unexpected success of Ryan’s recommendation shelf, it was only a matter of time before it caught the attention of everyone’s favorite overlord, Immortan Hoof. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t think to ask the Hoof if he too would like to contribute his movie suggestions to the store, and before we knew it, we had a war party knocking on our door. Thankfully, we have plenty of free shelf space in the building and were more than able to accommodate Mr Hoof’s request (aka: command).
I’m your host and spineless lackey, David Snider, and joining me as we discuss the first of what will now be known as The Hoof Collection are fellow cinephiles Ryan Caldwell, Michael Althouse, and Ruler of Citadel and our magnificent overlord, Immortan Hoof.
Listen as we discuss the only Disney film ever to be beaten by the Care Bears at the box office; we learn where George Lucas may have gotten his inspiration for Jar Jar Binks; and finally, we channel the Twitter campaigns of old as we demand the release of the more violent version of The Black Cauldron that Disney deemed too intense for children.

This looks like a job...for the Krypto-Cast! I'm your host, David Snider, and joining me again as we look at the seventh chapter of the Max Fleischer Superman shorts is warlord and fan of cartoons, Immortan Hoof.

Listen as we discuss why every villain lair must have a torture chair; we find out ♪ who lives in a teapot under the sea ♪; and finally, we witness the beginning of Superman phoning it in as he lifelessly delivers his most famous one liner.

  • The Black Hole
It’s been almost a month since we witnessed the conclusion of the Star Wars saga, but to be honest, none of us at the store have quite gotten over just how frustrating and disappointing it was. Despite Ryan increasing the amount of Rise of Skywalker Support Group meetings, the general sense of malaise that the movie created continues to run rampant.
Thankfully, Ryan isn’t out of ideas yet! Using the power of C.H.A.D., our trusty A.I. and former human friend, Ryan thinks he may have found the perfect antidote to our Episode IX depression, a forgotten Disney classic from 1979 that just so happens to follow on the heels of the original Star Wars itself. Surely, a film released during the height of Star Wars mania and distributed during Disney’s “Dark Ages” will pull us from the brink, right?! Right…?
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we delve deeper into bad movie territory are fellow cinephiles Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.
Listen as we discuss Disney’s botched attempt to make their own Star Wars; we pine for a Vincent and Old Bob spinoff; and finally, we try to understand the shifting tones of a Disney film that features killer robots and Hell.

  • American Graffiti
After an all-night binge of playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and drinking LiveWire, Ryan and Mike have the genius idea to relive the good ol' days of the early 2000s by building their very own skatepark in the store. So with that and Star Wars still on their minds, the dudes put on a movie that was "waxing nostalgia" even way back in 1973... George Lucas' second film, American Graffiti.

I'm your host, David Snider, and joining me on this slow drive through Modesto are fellow cinephiles Ryan Caldwell, and Michael Althouse.

Listen as we try to relate to the teens of the early 1960s, discover the poorly named sequel, and just try to figure out what the hell George's deal was?

Greetings, wastelanders. This is your trusty host of Apocalypse Video, David Snider. After the tragic events of the last episode (mainly, the disappointing conclusion to the Star Wars series), the crew at Apocalypse Video have decided to take a little time off to recuperate. But don’t worry, we’re not leaving you high and dry. Before leaving to Bartertown to drown our sorrows away with atomic beer, I asked Chad to auto-broadcast the latest installment of our seventeen part series, The Krypto-Cast!

  • Santa Claus: The Movie
Well, last week was rough, folks - I'm not going to lie. Losing a friend is always tough, especially when your friend had his head cut off by a psychopathic fan. But nevertheless, we here at Apocalypse Video are dedicated to bringing you the lost art of cinema, 24/7, and I'll be damned if we're going to end up missing our first ever Christmas Special just because of a simple little murder.

I'm your host, David Snider, and joining me as we try our best to spread the magic of Christmas are fellow cinephiles Michael Althouse, our man in the machine Chad Griner, and the recently deceased Ryan Caldwell.

Listen as we dissect the most magical product placement ever put into a film; the Salkind's try their best to ruin another beloved character; and finally, we find unexpected holiday cheer in seeing children become horribly disappointed by playing with defective toys.

  • Friday the 13th (1980)
Christmas may just be a couple of weeks away, but let's not overlook another equally important holiday...a day that reminds us of Hollywood's lack of originality and a franchise that refused to die (at least until it was rebooted by Michael Bay...).

I'm your host, David Snider, and joining me as we take a look back at the creation of one of Cinema's most memorable slashers are fellow cinephiles and Jason-newbies Ryan Caldwell, Michael Althouse, and special guest: Jackie.

Listen as we discuss how teenagers are ALWAYS horny; we watch the tension evaporate as the film's protagonist beats up an elderly woman; and finally, we craft an alternate version of Friday the 13th with the person who should have been the killer all along: the creeptastic Head Counselor - Steve Christie.

  • The Blob (1958)
The Wasteland can be a scary place. We've all witnessed terrible things out here -- sand dunes swallowing whole caravans of people you love; Ptera-People ripping the limbs off of your best friend; and of course, the scariest of them all, gelatinous balls of goo enveloping your girlfriend after you just made it to second base at Lookout Point. With all of these terrible things lurking the wasteland, safety and awareness is paramount.

So, you can imagine my shock when a certain Apocalypse Video employee who shall not be named (well...let's just say his name rhymes with "Like") showed a complete lack of knowledge of the monsters that exist in the Wastes. How can this individual have survived so long without knowing how to properly defeat a Wampa snow monster when it comes out of its cave to eat you whole?!

Thankfully, Apocalypse Video has a smart and safety minded manager at the helm -- yours truly: David Snider. And joining me as we screen The Blob for tips on wasteland survival are fellow cinephiles and dangers to themselves, Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.

Listen as we discuss a film that flirts with Ed Wood levels of cheesiness; we learn that teenagers are a menace and NOT to be trusted; and finally, we witness the screen debut of Steve McQueen, the world's oldest looking teenager.

  • Small Soldiers
It's hard to believe it's already been two months since the robotic uprising that nearly claimed the lives of everyone at Apocalypse Video. And even though Chad's evil plot was squashed by the triumphant return of Cody, nevertheless, strange things have been occurring in the weeks since (a shared nightmare of forced horror movie watching, for instance...). So it was with that in mind that I decided to run a manual system diagnostic on old Chadwick...and guess what I found? Takeover plots galore! One of which just so happened to include little toy soldiers...

I'm your host, David Snider, and joining me as we debate the probability of success of an action figure-led takeover are fellow cinephiles and Gorgonite sympathizers Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.

Listen as we discuss the dumbing down of Small Soldiers, and what could have been a darkly satirical film; I advocate for the destruction of Insaniac (aka, the most annoying character in the film); and finally, we breakdown the legacy of the movie, including Ryan's favorite Small Soldier's fast food tie-in: The Rodeo Burger.

Be sure to rate, review, and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts (that's an order, solider!). You can also Follow us on Twitter or Like Us on Facebook (any other social media platform is just a toy!).
